Inspiration and creativity fill this original Victorian performance space, which has recently been restored to its former grandeur, with original impressive stained glass windows and barrel vaulted ceiling, regenerated to present a modern and contemporary feel.
It is currently programmed and used by the award winning national opera company, Opera North.

September 2024I attended a business event in the Howard Assembly Room and was positively impressed by the space, the staff and the audio-visual equipment. It was a pleasure to spend time in such a beautifully restored historic entertainment venue.
