The Canary is a bar and kitchen nested in Leeds Dock.

Designed with an industrial yet warm vibe, The Canary offers versatile indoor and outdoor spaces across two levels, including two bars, and heated terraces with waterside views. The Canary is a welcoming hub, perfect for lunchtime meetings, work socials and celebrations.

Locally brewed beers, spirits and signature cocktails feature on the drinks menu, as the bar aims to support like-minded local brands. The food menus offer healthy eats & comfort treats, including burgers, salads & wings. Great coffee, free Wi-Fi, and an abundance of plugs/USB sockets allow for flexible and creative events.

A highlight of the venue is the first-floor space, available to book for private parties and events, with the option to add on the upstairs terrace space or take over the whole venue. Curated food, drink and entertainment packages are available to add.

Funky bright yellow shipping container converted into a bar and café and sits between the Royal Armouries and the dock. Has plenty of outdoor seating, some of which is sheltered. Pleasant enough service. Not a huge menu choice. I found the vegan mushroom burger seriously overpriced at £12 for what was essentially a mushroom stuck in a bun. Generous portion of tasty chips though, but felt disappointed in the burger, which did come with a slice of tomato, lettuce and some dressing. Might revisit for a drink, but not to eat.
