Good hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast and thought the room was nice. Ours was refurbished with a small balcony. The service from the reception was cheerful and local restaurants great (oak on the green and the yeoman). The pool facilities left a little to be desired but still pleasant. Oh, worth a trip to the goat sanctuary too.

Visited as part of work. I didn't need to use the Country club but a nice option. The room was king size and had everything I needed, although a mini fridge would have made it perfect. Reception efficient and friendly. I forgot my hairbrush, but they were able to provide a complimentary comb which did the job adequately. Breakfast was good, although scrambled eggs which were cooked as I like them were cold. I did mention it to staff, and hopefully, it will be resolved. Restaurant is expensive but I enjoyed my meal so not a problem. I had the chicken supreme, and it was delicious. I would happily book to come here on a social visit, so I can't praise higher than that.

First of all the staff are lovely, no complaints there whatsoever. We had been gifted a cream tea with use of the gym and pool etc. The sauna was not working. The pool was warm, but very dirty and very dated. I would have expected a jacuzzi but there isn't one. Dressing rooms are OK and clean. Cream tea, the scones are clearly baked from frozen as they were warm on the outside and still frozen/very cold in the middle. Only one very small pot of jam between two of us, could have done with a pot each. Overall I'm glad I didn't pay for this.

Would never go back! We booked a room for our wedding over a year in advance and were promised connected rooms for our children to stay in. We confirmed our stay a day before the wedding to be told connected rooms is not an option, even though they had put this information on our email receipt 'inter connected rooms'. We were asked to email all booking confirmation to them via email, the email address provided by them even after confirming this address was correct, upon sending the email found it bounced back. The level of communication has been appalling. They promised us they would do what they could to help and call us back to keep us updated, this call was never received. We spent the day before and morning of our wedding trying to fix the room situation to be told they would upgrade our room to a balcony room, as we have a 1year old and a 7 year old a balcony was clearly not a safe option and did not help in any way. This issue was never resolved. I have never been so angry. We were then told by multiple of our guests that when they came to either check in or check out, that they were asked to pay more or had already had their card charged. Guests were then told.this could not be resolved because their systems were now down. I have never been so stressed out over a time that should have been one of the happiest of our lives thanks to this hotel. I am beyond disappointed and angry!
