I’ve been staying at the hotel every other month for work, each time I have had a wonderful stay! The service is accommodating and the rooms are comfortable… Tim in the restaurant is very attentive and gets to know his customers, making for a nice experience! Would recommend!!!

What a fantastic hotel this is! Nestled in a convenient location, the Mercure Tunbridge Wells hotel garners appreciation from guests for its proximity to transport, attractions, and dining options. While opinions on value vary, with some guests feeling it offers reasonable comfort and others less impressed, the establishment's amenities generally receive positive remarks, particularly the breakfast offerings and room comfort. However, critiques do point to outdated features and a lack of a swimming pool. The rooms elicit mixed feedback regarding maintenance and cleanliness. Visitors often commend the service and the hotel's overall cleanliness, noting the warm atmosphere and professional staff.

Such a nice hotel!! Car park is available, they also have a restaurant and a little bar. You can call a taxi straight at the reception, cos they have a phone who is connected straight to taxi Company!! Service is great, rooms are essential but clean and inside there is everything you need. I really appreciate the complimentary drink if you don't want to change your towels and prefer to be green. Also is very nice the welcome envelope and the little present, you will find near the the television! Recommended!

We stayed for one night whilst visiting the local town and area. The staff were friendly and helpful. Please note that whilst there is a parking charge machine in the car park, when we checked with hotel reception you do not pay if you’re a hotel guest. The food was very good, both the evening meals and the buffet style breakfast. The meals were exactly as described, with good portions and well prepared. Restaurant staff went out of their way to be helpful. Our only reason for a lower score was around the room, which in itself was clean, quiet but started to show its age eg the shower over the bath would benefit from a screen verses the shower curtain. There were a few cracked tiles around the bath. These are minor comments that wouldn’t hinder another stay.

The property is incredibly dated, lots of little snagging issues, the front desk was attractive, the rest was tired and looked unloved. The rooms were not cleaned to a high standard, the bathroom had hair on the walls, black mould in between the tiles. The quality of a premier inn is better than this. The privilege room was not worth it and for £120 for a single night felt incredibly cheeky. £80 at best. I can't see the reason this hotel has a 4 star but can agree with the 3.8 on Google reviews, something I forgot to check before booking. The main bedroom window was tiny and once opened became stuck and impossible to close, plus the handle was lose. I asked the receptionist for a hairdryer and never heard back. On checkout no one there to see you off. I wouldn't t rush back there. The fact the cleaner had signed cleaned by Viv is embarrassing, I wouldn't be proud and put my name down. The bathroom wall was covered in hair, possibly pubes which when my partner wanted to have a relaxing bath, became less desirable. Honestly the entire experience wasn’t great. Shame I didn’t dig more and book elsewhere.
