The Astor Wing:
The Astor Wing is a private wing of Hever Castle, created in Tudor style by William Waldorf Astor in 1903. Offering peace, tranquillity and seclusion, The Astor Wing offers an exclusive use venue in one of the most historic and beautiful settings in England. The oak panelled Tudor Suite Sitting Room, overlooking the Castle and formal lawns, provides the perfect ambience for an intimate ceremony for up to 60 guests. Reception drinks are taken in The Music Room, or, weather permitting, on the Tudor Suite Terrace overlooking the croquet lawn and moat. The Tudor Suite Dining Room, shrouded with oak panelling and boasting a magnificent fire place, can accommodate up to 60 guests for a wedding breakfast. The Moat Restaurant can be transformed into spacious venue for music and dancing for up to 120 guests.

Amazing castle, and B&B. We stayed for two nights and everything was perfect. The breakfast is ridiculously good, and you can keep the little jars of jams/jellies from the table. Everyone was great, especially Barron. He was kind, provided lots of info and genuinely seemed to care about the guests and their experience. Over all this is a must see Castle to add to your list!

Saw Father Christmas at Hever for the 2nd time and once again it was magical and fantastic. My son and his friends absolutely loved it as did us adults. Hever is lit up beautifully, there are a few good rides, huge grounds and it's dog friendly too. There is a good range of food and drink on offer. You also have access to the castle. All in all a great Christmas and historical experience.

This was our first visit to Hever Castle, taking along our Aussie family and their kids, 3yrs and 1 yrs. We all had a great time there, so much to see in the Castle itself, and also a walk around the grounds was good for us all. So much to see. The gardens are kept immaculately, and the sculpted bushes remarkable. The food and drink available at the cafe was really nice and fresh. We all enjoyed what we had. The staff very pleasant and helpful (that goes for the entire complex). We rounded off with a treat for the kids at the Adventure Park where they both had great fun with whatever they were capable of accessing. A special mention has to be made of the huge wooden castle. Never mind the kids, I could have played there all day, and I'm 70! The 3yr old loved the experience and the adventure. So all in all this is well worth a visit with something for everyone. Loved it.

Beautiful castle and even prettier gardens. Personally could’ve skipped the castle tour as the gardens are just so incredible. But the castle is pretty cool if you’re interested in seeing the history in a guided route. The gardens are plentiful and especially with the autumn colours were incredible. Nice cafe in the middle but could do with better food options. The cafe nearer the entrance had far nicer options but beware of £5 sausage rolls!

We spent two days at Hever Castle last week, staying in the castle grounds (the Aster wing) which was first class and impossible to fault. Firstly the accommodation... The room had everything we needed, from a very comfortable bed to a spacious bathroom and separate room for changing. The decor in the room was lovely and the tea and coffee even came in a leather caddy. If you stay at the castle, you can park in a car park close to the accommodation, access to the grounds by car or on foot using your key fob. The breakfast room is out of the Tudor period and the food is really good. As a guest you also get use of a lounge and courtyard. Your stay gives you access to the castle and grounds on your day of arrival through to your day of leaving. This allows you to explore the grounds before and after they are open to visitors and gives you a chance to see parts that you might not have time to see if you are only there for a day. As well as the castle itself, which was renovated by the Aster's and which has rooms set out from the Tudor period and the 1920's, there are two mazes, a large lake that you can walk around and take boat rides on (at the weekend). Don't miss the Italian Gardens which are lovely and time permitting the Military Museum and the walk around the lake are well worth it. As a guest of the castle, we walked to the nearby King Henry VIII pub for dinner and then walked around the lake at dusk, catching a lovely sunset, almost full moon rise and about half a dozen bats flying over us. Definitely recommend the castle and if you can it's a great place to stay as well.
