Honestly, couldn't ask for more from a break. Beautiful and extensive gardens with recommended routes to walk. Great clean and spacious rooms and good food. The hotel itself is great with a few tastefully decorated bars and great restaurant. But the standout for me was the service. Simply first class!

Very little parking for blue badge holders Ir was a 300 steps from the car park to the hotel entrance. And it was uphill all the way down hill going back Only ate one evening meal. Ok When I asked about blue badge parking no help was offered Chips cold burger had no cheese on it only a type of sauce Overall. Was not impressed Good for golfers

Dog friendly which is a definite plus. The rooms could do with a revamp but v spacious and the grounds are lovely. Staff were so lovely except the housekeeping lady who was very irritated that we had a dog (even though we specifically tried to make sure we were out with our dog when she came). The pool is nice but again could do with a few more relaxing loungers etc

Nice place for a weekend of golf. Both courses are great. The hotel is nice and clean, staff are lovely but make sure you have everything as there is no shop for essentials like toothbrushes or paracetamol. Also, sorry but the coffee machines are terrible in the restaurants and the Claret Jug. Only decent coffee machine is in the main bar.

Where do you start? Rooms look tired and in need of refresh and updating. Golf is as good as always. Evening meal was disappointing with minimal effort could have been in witherspoon. However, getting served an egg with my gammon that you could have bounced from one end of the restaurant to the other must be embarrassing as even the waitress was embarrassed. We felt sorry for the serving staff with the amount of work and complaints they were dealing with. Breakfast is obviously understaffed and has no visible management. Lots of self-serve selection depleted, with many guests still arriving. We arrived for afternoon tea and were seated in the empty restaurant. It felt like lockdown all over again. We sat at the table, and the first thing we had to ask was for the cutlery to be changed as it didn't even look like it had been through a dishwasher. A lot of hospitality basics are missing. We used to love coming here but stopped due to our experiences,
