Went for afternoon tea with family to celebrate a birthday. High quality cake tiers and finger sandwiches etc... as usual with afternoon teas. Beautiful abbey with wonderful gardens and setting. Attentive and polite staff. Be sure to enter your car reg at reception Private firm controls parking and will issue fines. Recommended.

My husband and I got married at Missenden Abbey in May and it was the perfect venue. The staff were all so helpful and committed through the planning stages right the way through to the end of the day. The food was great, we had the BBQ option which worked really well for us and our guests. The venue was beautiful, there was lots of flexibility in how we chose to decorate and so many different places around the grounds for gorgeous photographs. Can't wait to go back and visit as a married couple in the years to come!
Dave House
Lovely venue for a wedding. The staff were really nice and friendly. Food was very nice. Had lovely grounds. Only negative was the bedrooms rooms were really small. Not expensive, but small.
Rainbows On The Road
Building and grounds are beautiful. I just needed to spend a night and this was the right location. The room itself, in the Coach House, has perfectly comfortable and was lovely to have a back door that opened onto ponds with water fountain. Shower good, bed comfy, good tea making facilities. Nice quiet night. Breakfast was average, nice to have it included in price. Good range available but cold (maybe because I went down late). All in all, better than the Travelodge!
