Missenden Abbey is a unique hotel and conference venue that combines excellent training facilities with warm hospitality set in a 12th Century Abbey. We are conveniently positioned just 30 miles from the centre of London with fantastic rail links. The Abbey has firmly established itself as a thriving centre of excellence for hosting corporate events.
Chiltern Room 1 is one of four identical meeting rooms which has been recently refurbished to include new lighting, carpet and paint work. Chiltern Room 1 has the ability to open up and join with Chiltern Room 2, creating the Chiltern Suite which can hold up to 80 theatre and 48 cabaret. The partition wall that separates the two meeting rooms is sound proof, and can be used flexibly throughout the day as one or two meetings rooms.

Space rules
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 3 months prior to the event taking place. Cancellation 2 weeks prior to the event will incur an 80% cancellation fee and cancellation within one week of the event, cancellation fee will be raised to 90%.

November 2024Beautiful location and surroundings. Rooms are more than satisfactory, clean, and with robust supplies of coffee, tea and milk. Staff at front desk very pleasant and helpful, and servers at breakfast were fab. The free breakfast was a great addition and makes this a great deal for the price. Highly recommend. Take the time for a walk in the grounds. Although you feel like you’re in the countryside, it’s barely a 1 minute walk to Great Missenden.

January 2025We stayed here for an event, despite the outside looking terrific, the rest could not be said for the staff and rundown room. The staff we spoke to looked disinterested and bored, the room had a poorly working shower and looked like it hadn't seen a lick of paint since the 70's. As a venue that should be opulent, it unfortunately was a let down the further you ventured inside, such a shame.
