Holiday Inn London Watford Junction

Booked through holiday extras as a package with tickets to Harry Potter studio tour. 12 minute drive from hotel to Studios. Came with breakfast. Reception staff were good, quick to sort out our check in and sort parking. Room was a good size and clean. Don't think it was a king-size bed a little small. Our room was situated on the 4th floor near the hallway communal doors to the lift. This was quite noisy as people were coming and going. Road noise was quite loud from the street below. Windows not the best sound insulation. Shower was clean and good size, water pressure a little low but nothing bad. Good brand of soaps and shampoo. Only problem was extraction fan wasn't working so alot of steam in the room which was causing a very small amount of mould on the ceiling. Dinner at the bar/restaurant was VERY good! A Sri Lankan themed menu on offer. Share platter for starters and butter chicken for main were very very nice! Happy hour between 5pm and 7pm, 2 for 1 on cocktails. Seeming as we sat down to eat at just after 6pm ordered 2 cocktails. When I was presented with the bill and hour or so later I was charged for both! Didn't pull them up on this as not one to make a fuss. Bottle of rosé was very good. Breakfast was a buffet with everything you would want from a full English to continental. Coffee wasn't the best although there is a Starbucks machine behind the bar should you want to pay extra for that. All in all not a bad experience, could do with bigger beds and maybe I'd get a different room further away from communal area. Food was very good and staff pleasant.
