January 2025Booked through holiday extras as a package with tickets to Harry Potter studio tour. 12 minute drive from hotel to Studios. Came with breakfast. Reception staff were good, quick to sort out our check in and sort parking. Room was a good size and clean. Don't think it was a king-size bed a little small. Our room was situated on the 4th floor near the hallway communal doors to the lift. This was quite noisy as people were coming and going. Road noise was quite loud from the street below. Windows not the best sound insulation. Shower was clean and good size, water pressure a little low but nothing bad. Good brand of soaps and shampoo. Only problem was extraction fan wasn't working so alot of steam in the room which was causing a very small amount of mould on the ceiling. Dinner at the bar/restaurant was VERY good! A Sri Lankan themed menu on offer. Share platter for starters and butter chicken for main were very very nice! Happy hour between 5pm and 7pm, 2 for 1 on cocktails. Seeming as we sat down to eat at just after 6pm ordered 2 cocktails. When I was presented with the bill and hour or so later I was charged for both! Didn't pull them up on this as not one to make a fuss. Bottle of rosé was very good. Breakfast was a buffet with everything you would want from a full English to continental. Coffee wasn't the best although there is a Starbucks machine behind the bar should you want to pay extra for that. All in all not a bad experience, could do with bigger beds and maybe I'd get a different room further away from communal area. Food was very good and staff pleasant.

January 2025Well, I am comparing it with similar hotels in the US, cause I am from the Boston area. The rooms were good. I struggled with temperature control. It goes off every time I leave the room, energy saving, and sustainability. I like that but didn't know I had to turn it on every time. The first room was drafty, and I could hear wind coming in through the window leak. They changed me to a better one the next day. The restaurant by the lobby was convenient. Had great food and good options. The best part was my office was next door. If I travel I will choose this Holiday Inn again.

March 20253 night stay with my wife and daughter for daughters birthday to visit Warner Bros studios. Was given a double room with sofa bed. This was a disabled person room with large walk in shower. However sofa bed was broken. Room smelled of damp fusty smell. There are pigeons nesting either in or around the ventilation ducts. This poses genuine health hazard. Reported to front desk and was met with indifference. Got the impression this was common knowledge. On last day no running water so we could not shower or wash ahead of travelling home. Not great
