Dating all the way back to 1844, the rich history of Citation contributes to its vibrance and rusticity. Originally the Sheriff Court building designed by Clarke & Bell in the mid-19th century, its breathtaking features were retained during redevelopment 160 years later.
Sandstone columns dominate the particularly prominent B-listed exterior, dressed in fairy lights to delicately illuminate a picture-perfect atmosphere.

August 2024As a city location, they don't get much more central than this. If you're viewing this as a wedding venue, then as well as having a very funky interior, it is really close to some signature Glaswegian landmarks to add some cool urban flavour! :-)

July 2024I could not recommend this venue and staff more if you’re thinking of getting married! Every single staff member went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day. The food was absolutely unbelievable and we had so many compliments saying it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had! The venue is just so perfect for a wedding and the staff are clearly very experienced! We had the most amazing day and we can’t thank citation enough!

September 2024We could not have picked a more perfect venue for our wedding reception. We were obsessed with the building and decor as we wanted a contemporary, city centre wedding and Citation ticked all the boxes! Pauline was so helpful on the run up to the day by staying in contact regularly and helping us to prepare fully for our wedding. A highlight of ours was our menu tasting - it was like a private dining experience and the food was unreal! The food was amazing, from the canapés to the wedding breakfast, and everyone commented on how much they loved it! We were quite literally waited on the entire day and the staff in particular (especially Aidan, Darren and Robert) made us feel so special and important. The layout was great as well to allow people space to sit and chat, but also plenty of room at the dance floor - especially for our Ceilidh which went down an absolute treat! Thanks to Citation, we had the perfect wedding day from start to finish. You helped create memories for us which will last a lifetime and every time we walk past, we will be reminded of how we celebrated the most important day of our lives in one of Glasgow’s most iconic and memorable venues.
