March 2025Hotel is a bit dated but service was absolutely fantastic, there was an issue with my booking and the lovely lady at reception sorted it immediately. Super close to town making it easy to go for leisurely stroll to the beach, casino and cliffs pavillon.

February 2025I came here for a few nights as part of a little break in Southend. The hotel staff were very nice and felt really welcomed. The hotel room was a bit dated and needed a little modernization but it's an old hotel. The breakfast was good lots of choice. Only downside is that where our room 309 was based there were a few rooms above us that were for hotel staff to stay in and kept hearing talking and noise coming from those rooms which we kept hearing on our second night and could smell tobacco smell in the corridor. Hopefully this can be rectified. But overall I would stay here again.

March 2025Ok first things first. A hotel with this many rooms and NO parking? A parking tariff is charged. Not a great start. My partner is registered disabled and has a valid blue badge. We was told, incorrectly that her blue badge was not allowed in the permit only bays. The staff didn't care and just parroted the hotel policy of charging you or you are told to park on double yellow lines.
