Our stay here was beyond fabulous. When we arrived, we were greeted by several staff members all who were very kind. While we were checking in, another couple was unknowingly assigned the same room as my husband and I. I would like to especially thank Karen for handling the situation so beautifully. She was so caring and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect in every way. Also, Linda at the concierge desk gave wonderful advice on what to see and do in Edinburgh and is a gem in the hotel staff. The drinks and bartenders were also spectacular. We will 100% book this hotel again on our next visit to Edinburgh. This is why we are diamond members and will always be loyal Hilton customers.

Everything is amazing here. The staff is polite and helpful. The service in general is really good. The rooms are clean. Only the TV is not really high-tech (but that's okay). The breakfast is diverse and you get your ordered dishes very fast. Allergies are no problem at all. Location is one of the best so far. All in all, can totally recommend this place!

The staff at the Caledonian was second to none. The team here really surprised me with warmth and hospitality that has been lost at other hotels. From the moment we checked in to checkout, we experienced excellent customer service. The room we had a stunning view of the castle and the concierge was very knowledgable about the local area. The morning breakfast was delicious with many Scottish favorites available. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

My stay was rather disappointing unfortunately. Given the price point, I would expect the hotel to be in a much better shape. It is in a gorgeous building with a beautiful view of the castle. The room also came with a yoga mat, which was very appreciated. However, the room was much more cramped than depicted in the picture (although this is expected for most hotel rooms). The room is itself is badly outdated, much in need of a renovation. Other than the general dilapidated look, the faucets were also difficult to manipulate, requiring fine tuning to turn off and to get the right temperature. The breakfast host was was also inept. She led us to the far corner. When I asked to be seated closer to the window, she told us there is no 2 ppl table to accommodate us until I pointed out two tables available. After we were seated, she seated another couple in a four person table by the window. Plus, I ordered an omelette without onions only to receive one completely packed with it. I do wish my stay was a better experience. I stayed another night at a lower cost hotel, which turned out to be much better equipped and well laid out

Excellent location with unique views of Edinburgh castle. Spa was quite nice. The pool was very warm, which was lovely, and again could see the castle from the Jacuzzi. My room was fine - nothing special - but probably was one of the cheaper ones and perfectly adequate. Staff were friendly and service was of a good standard.
