Beauty and service the Balmoral graciously provided during our brief stay. We look forward to return for a more length stay in the near future. Staff was immediately available and ready to serve. The morning of our departure, the attendant at the entrance (forgive me his name slips my mind) helped us down to the train with our parents luggage to catch the train to London. We are grateful for his instruction on navigating to correct train. Do not hesitate to stay here.

Absolutely beautiful Hotel. Lots of tweed and Scottish flair in the decor. The service was great. Hotel staff stopped by 3 times a day, morning time to help open the blinds and check on mini bar, afternoon to clean the rooms, and evening for turndown service.

The Balmoral is the definition of a 5 star hotel. I stayed in the Balmoral Suite and was very comfortable. The staff were beyond accommodating, very friendly, very helpful, and very knowledgeable of what places we should see and where we should eat during our stay. The highest compliment I can leave regarding this property is that I very much look forward to my return. The Balmoral has a distinct charm to it. In a world of glass boxes and cold modern finishes, it’s refreshing to find a 100+ year old property steeped in both luxury and history. Soaring ceilings and couches you just sink into. Something about staying there felt like home - part of the distinct charm I was referring to. The views of the Arthur’s Seat out the living room window were appreciated. Though the views from Arthur’s Seat itself were even better! If you want to experience Edinburgh, the Balmoral needs to be where you sleep at night. You’ll thank yourself for doing so.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Balmoral hotel, fulfilling a lifelong dream of visiting Edinburgh. I could never have imagined that this dream would not only come true but would also be transformed into such a wonderful and unforgettable experience, thanks to The Balmoral. Thanks to the breakfast team for providing a rich, healthy, and delicious breakfast each morning. It was an excellent way to start the day. The SPA was another highlight of my stay. The team is both professional and welcoming. The atmosphere was calming and truly added to my overall relaxation. I thoroughly enjoyed the exquisite afternoon tea. The team was incredibly thoughtful, and their service was impeccable. I was also thrilled to have the opportunity to enjoy a whiskey tasting. It is a must! In the restaurant and Bar I encountered love and professionalism. The team transformed a simple dinner/drink into a remarkable experience. I would also like to extend my thanks to the other departments, whose seamless service ensured that every aspect of my stay was perfect. From housekeeping to the front desk, everyone contributed to making my time at The Balmoral unforgettable.
