Was around the area after visiting Dean Village & Stockbridge and came in 1.5 hrs before close. I definitely think I could’ve spent more time here as there was so much to learn about. The male guide was so lovely explaining all the minute details of the older items to me. As a lover of history and architecture, this is truly a must see in Edinburgh.

Wonderful visit, a compact but grand & well presented Georgian house. The staff were very friendly & welcoming, apologies I do not recall their names, but the two volunteers who I talked to today (afternoon of Monday 15th July 2024), I believe Barbara & David were excellent, very knowledgeable, engaging, and David was funny as well, really enjoyed talking to them.

A lovely time at The Georgian House today! The home is a wonderful collection of historical items thoughtfully arranged, but more than that, the staff were so incredibly passionate, knowledgeable, and friendly. Highly recommend you set aside 2 or so hours for your visit so you can chat with them. Learned a lot & had a blast in the process!

Lovely house. Some nice decor, artifacts and paintings. Nice film to explain more about life in Georgian times to begin with Great guides in the rooms. Full of useful information told well. Written info available in several languages. There are stairs (no lifts). Shop and toilets but no cafe.

Stunning house, full of history and very well kept. The volunteers working there were so lovely to talk to and so knowledgeable. The dress up part was so fun! I think children would enjoy it 😊 Highly recommend.
