We went to visit Santa. As every year it is well organised. They had animal handling in the waiting area, which was a lovely touch. The elves are great with the kids, and the professional pictures are always great to keep, and for photo albums.

Crieff Hydro is a wonderful hotel. I treated myself to a Spa Day. Victorian baths, 2 treatments, then lunch. It was fabulous. Staff were so helpful. Every area was spotlessly clean. Lunch was amazing!

Had lunch in the Bistro - my first visit here. After all the local hype, I was expecting more. The surroundings were nice enough but for a forest if scaffolding outside the window. The welcome and service were pleasant enough. The menu read like a standard pub menu and not like one of the region's premier hotels. There was nothing to set it apart. I was disappointed. Having said that, the French Onion Soup was excellent and the steak sandwich good, even if the meat was a little chewy. I'd be happy to give it another go. There must be a more upmarket dining room - problem is that it is going to be even more expensive.

This hotel is great if you are wanting to get away for 1 night stay minimum but anymore than that then you will find yourself with nothing to do. The room was a great size but not very clean especially for the price that was paid for the room. Hairs still in the bath and surfaces left dusty and stains inside the fridge. The views were probably the best part of the stay but I would not pay the prices just for a nice view and thats it. The actual hotel itself is lovely and the spa is 10/10. However if you are wanting anything to eat then you will have to book in advance to eat anywhere as they say they don’t have tables available when you turn up at the restaurants. Also there was no indication that there would only be 2 restaurants open as they all say open on there website and the hotel also do not tell you if they will be closed and for what reason? But both restaurants that are open are extremely expensive for the food and service that you get. The only positive was the free buffet breakfast that luckily we booked in advance. Overall if you are a couple coming to stay at this hotel i recommend 1 night at the most and if you like peace and quiet then avoid as there are hundreds of children 😂 Also the winter wonderland is way overrated and is more expensive than the edinburgh Christmas markets!! 3 food trucks and an ice rink was very disappointed.

DAMAGED MY CAR NO APOLOGIES OR OFFERS TO REPAIR I recently stayed at Crieff Hydro for two nights. While the room itself was great and up to expectations, my experience was marred by an incident with my car. I parked my vehicle beside three others, off the double yellow lines and in an area with no signs indicating that parking was prohibited. However, without my permission, Crieff Hydro staff decided to move my electric car. They jacked it up, placed it onto four trolleys, and wheeled it a distance of 10-15 meters when I wasn't present. There was no attempt to located me despite my registration being inputted onto the system for the 2 separate nights I stayed there! Afterward, I discovered that my parking brake system was malfunctioning. A parking brake error continuously flashes on my dashboard, and the brake only disengages if I put the car in drive and move it. I also noticed that my car was covered in handprints. Despite these issues, no apology was offered. When I raised the matter, the manager insisted that my car wasn’t broken, even though a fault code appeared on the dashboard and the parking brake was clearly not functioning properly. This lack of accountability and the disregard for my property left me disappointed with my stay. I will be taking this matter further
