Set in the heart of Cheshire, Mere Court Hotel was originally built as a wedding present for William and Amy Dunkerley in 1903. It has now been lovingly restored into a 4 star country house hotel, award winning events venue with an AA rosette restaurant.

Within 7 acres of landscaped gardens and grounds with a private lake, the hotel offers ambience and rural tranquility despite being only 8 minutes for Manchester Airport and with easy reach of the motorway networks to Manchester, Liverpool and Chester.

The original house was individually designed and furnished, featuring luxury bedrooms including 2 four poster suites and wonderful views across the grounds. We have 35 bedrooms in total, 10 of these which are feature rooms and another 20 executive lakeside rooms. Our 35th room is a two-bedroom lodge which is located next to our conference centre. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen/dining and living area.

The original coach house has been transformed in to a dedicated Conference centre with light, air-conditioned rooms, a welcoming coffee lounge, free wi-fi and plenty of outside space for team-building. We also have meeting rooms available in the main house.
Our modern and versatile facilities can accommodate upto 150 delegates and the rooms can be laid out in a variety of layouts to meet individual requirements.

Our Conservatory is situated in the main house overlooking the lake. With floor to ceiling windows, the suite has spectacular views across our grounds. The room has it's own private bar & also a patio by the lake. The Conservatory suits every occasion including conferences, weddings and parties!

Very beautiful and green hotel. It sits over a large expanse of greenery and a lake at the back. The building is ancient and the design is rustic. The floors, tiles, wooden walls are all original. The room is warm and cozy, we forgot it's winter throughout our stay. Oh the food, excellent. We had fish and steak at dinner , it's one of the best we've ever had. The steak and fish were cooked to perfection over open grill, you can take the smoke. The dessert was decadent (chocolate torte and lemon cheesecake) Breakfast was good as well, eggs well cooked. It was an amazing country side experience altogether. I'll visit again and recommend it to others.

We stayed here for one night with parking for while we were on holiday. Not the best first impression as had to wait a long time for someone to appear at reception to check us in. However once he arrived the check in was quick and efficient and he explained how the taxi transfer to the airport worked. We were in a double 'feature' room in the main building. Pleasantly surprised at the room, much more modern than I thought it would be. Good size and pleased to see lots of sockets (even by the bed) Plenty of lights, hangers, safe, hairdryer, TV. Bathroom was nice and I liked the shampoo/shower gel (although annoying when having a bath as they were so high up on the wall!) The net curtains on the window need replacing as they were very old and discoloured. Same for the shower curtain which either needs replacing or a deep clean. The taxi that was booked for us the next morning arrived a few minutes early, and the driver was really friendly and dropped us right outside the terminal and explained where we should wait for the return trip. When we got back after our holiday I called the number and ten minutes later the taxi arrived to take us back to our car in the hotel car park. (The return taxi drive was a bit erratic, and seemed to like to drive as close to the other cars as possible, but we made it!) Will definitely consider staying here again for our holiday next year.

Nicer that a premier inn in Warrington and cheaper too. Breakfast was tip top, Good quiet location, car parking no problem, number of cars suggested it was fairly full but never felt like there were many people there at all. Rooms are varied, quaint and functional. Shower was really good, loads of hot water almost instantly. Will happily stay again
