Set in the heart of Cheshire, Mere Court Hotel was originally built as a wedding present for William and Amy Dunkerley in 1903. It has now been lovingly restored into a 4 star country house hotel, award winning events venue with an AA rosette restaurant.
Within 7 acres of landscaped gardens and grounds with a private lake, the hotel offers ambience and rural tranquility despite being only 8 minutes for Manchester Airport and with easy reach of the motorway networks to Manchester, Liverpool and Chester.
The original house was individually designed and furnished, featuring luxury bedrooms including 2 four poster suites and wonderful views across the grounds. We have 35 bedrooms in total, 10 of these which are feature rooms and another 20 executive lakeside rooms. Our 35th room is a two-bedroom lodge which is located next to our conference centre. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen/dining and living area.
The original coach house has been transformed in to a dedicated Conference centre with light, air-conditioned rooms, a welcoming coffee lounge, free wi-fi and plenty of outside space for team-building. We also have meeting rooms available in the main house.
Our modern and versatile facilities can accommodate upto 150 delegates and the rooms can be laid out in a variety of layouts to meet individual requirements.

Just came home from a lovely stay at the hotel. We had a Groupon offer, pleasantly surprised that we were given the beautiful 2 bed cottage, very clean and spacious. 2 course meal and breakfast was included in the deal and the meals were ample and tasty. Beautiful grounds and free parking. Big shout out to the kind and pleasant Laura at reception, very friendly and helped with any needs we had! Colin the waiter and bar man, jolly and chatty making your stay even better, both are an absolute credit to the hotel! Thank you both:)

My husband and I had the pleasure of hosting our wedding day at Mere Court, and what a day it was! From start to finish, we were wowed by the entire team, their professionalism and care was second to none. Planning a wedding can be a stressful time for anyone, but from the moment we first viewed Mere Court 2 years ago we were put at ease and knew this was the perfect place for us. The whole process was calm and controlled, I couldn’t have done it without them, particularly wedding coordinator Lyndsey. Nothing was too much, and the level of service was outstanding. The set up was beautiful and it was dreamy to see our vision brought to life! We have had so many family and friends comment on how amazing and professional the service was. And WOW, the food was unbelievable! From the canopies, to the wedding breakfast, and even the evening buffet - absolutely delicious! We had the most magical, beautiful day and I cannot thank the entire team enough. They worked tirelessly to make our wedding day dreams come true - thank you thank you thank you! 🤍

A group of friends visited for Afternoon Tea. Lovely place & the tea room was a lovely area but avoid if you have allergies. I have a gluten allergy and this was the only thing eaten that day and I was quite ill that evening. The lady in our party who has a chocolate allergy was also served a chocolate macaroon by accident, but the lack of care & attention in this can cause serious reactions for some people’s allergies. The venue seemed extremely busy as they also had a wedding scheduled the same day, and the bar, kitchen & toilets all seemed to be shared, which must be odd for the wedding guests. I ran into the bride in the bathroom, and it seems odd the venue doesn’t have bridal facilities as the bathroom stalls really aren’t big enough for wedding dresses! All in all, likely won’t return.

Had a spa day with friends. The car parking was really difficult as they are having building work on the hotel, which greatly reduced capacity. The lady who gave me my massage and facial was excellent. The pool and spa was nice , but there was a lot of people, so couldn't sit with my friends on spa beds. The afternoon tea was OK, I thought the cakes were just sweet, but not flavoursome. They gave us a tiny pot of cream between 3 of us, which was insufficient. But when we asked for more, we were refused. Come on! all that money and rationed cream.
