Upgraded to the Executive Kings Room, however I will never be doing this again. Multiple things advertised such as bathrobes, slippers, bigger TV were all false advertisement (we requested bath robes etc and they don’t stock them anymore). And we know the TV’s were the same size even thought they are stated as bigger on the website as our family were in the double deluxe. Walked into the hotel room and was greeted with bottle caps on the floor; had to request for a shower mat however the normal deluxe had one without requesting ? The bath tap was peeling, shower was mediocre. However the bed was very nice, and staying at the top floor was also a great feature. The staff were helpful, the food was amazing as well as the location. Just such a shame about our personal experience with the room as the rest was good. Personally next time I’d save money and go with the double deluxe.

Handy for airport & train station, courtesy bus provided. We had to book 2 nights although only staying one to guarantee a 5am check in due to long haul flight times and onward travel. The rooms are a bit dated, but comfortable all the same. The food is okay, but breakfast was disappointing, the coffee machine kept breaking and the food quality wasn't as good as the last time we stayed.

Great location and shuttle bus but that is where it stops. Our first luxury king size was freezing cold and the front door was broken. The second room was old and tired, the bathroom door was broken and did not lock. The table was badly marked. The grouting round the bath was moldy. The room itself smelt stale. (No biscuits in the room anymore) Only one pillow each when I asked for an extra one at 3.00pm it did not arrive until 7.00pm even after calling again. Short staff was their excuse. This was our third visit and our last. This is no longer a 4 star hotel. The rooms barely pass three stars.

I recently stayed at the Clayton Hotel in Manchester, UK, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. First, the heating system was completely inadequate. Despite the cold weather, the room's heater was either not working or unavailable, making the stay very uncomfortable. Additionally, the acoustic isolation was terrible; I could hear every noise from the neighboring rooms and hallway, which made it impossible to relax or get a good night's sleep. The bed and pillows were equally disappointing—extremely uncomfortable and poorly maintained. It felt like no thought had been given to guest comfort. The restaurant was another letdown. The food quality was subpar, and the service was unprofessional and inattentive. For the prices charged, I expected far better. The airport shuttle service, which should have been a convenient feature, was a nightmare. It was horribly delayed, with no adherence to any schedule, causing significant inconvenience. Lastly, the staff's attitude was shockingly rude and unhelpful. Any requests or concerns were met with indifference, which only added to the overall negative experience. I strongly advise avoiding this hotel. It does not live up to its promises and fails on almost every front. There are far better options in Manchester for a more comfortable and pleasant stay.
