Located in Bristol’s Old City, The Clockwork Rose is a vision of a Neo-Victorian world in a unique bar that remains one of the first of its kind in Britain. The Clockwork Rose is a relaxed, warm, and friendly atmosphere, where you can sample innovative cocktails and premium crafted spirits. Each cocktail is uniquely designed around the exploits of the fictional steampunk adventurer, Captain Sebastian Commodore, as well as taking inspiration from real life works of fiction by famous authors such as Jules Verne, Conan Doyle, and Douglas Adams. For events we hire out the full venue for evening or late afternoon events. We offer hourly hiring of smaller table groupings for Table Top Gaming Sessions We also offer a bespoke cocktail service in which we can design a special cocktail to serve on the evening either as a welcome drink or an option for your guests to order. We can also offer alfresco seating, however this is weather permitting.

December 2024We recently hosted our company Christmas party at The Clockwork Rose and we had a great experience! The steampunk theme made for such a unique and fun setting—everything from the vintage décor to the stylish touches added a magical atmosphere to our celebration. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to ensure our group had everything we needed. They made sure our drinks flowed seamlessly throughout the night and even helped us with some personalized cocktail suggestions, which our guests absolutely loved. Kit the owner was always on call and answered my questions straight away. I highly recommend!

November 2024An absolutely incredible bar! We were here for our anniversary and Madeline and Ivan couldn't have been better hosts. They served perfect cocktails, had excellent service and even gave us a free shot each to celebrate our anniversary! Would 100% recommend to anyone for a special night out
