The staff were absolutely wonderful. A very warm welcome when we arrived and this continued during our stay. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and plenty full. The view was perfect. It was a little further from the town than we expected but this just encouraged us to walk more, which was most enjoyable. We would definitely book this hotel again.

My friend and I had a lovely couple of days away staying at the Mecure Brighton. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The twin room we stayed in was in the mews area and was lovely, clean and quiet. We loved the vibe of the decor throughout the hotel (definitely not boring and beige). We will definitely stay again. Just one comment - snacks available at the bar would be good.

We very much enjoyed out stay at Mercure Brighton albeit just for the one night. The room was clean, tidy and well equipped and the overall feel of the hotel was very appealing. We would not hesitate in staying here again and again! We were checked-in by Jacob who could not have been more polite, helpful and welcoming. Equally upon checkout, Marianna was just delightful! So helpful and friendly. I would say that both of these team members are a real asset to this hotel and should be commended for their high level of genuine customer care that they provide to their guests.

The hotel was in the perfect place. On the sea front. The lobby and restaurant was nice. The breakfast was good. The staff were friendly especially Barry on reception was brilliant. The rooms sadly was very small for the price which we paid. And the cleanliness wasn’t great at all. The hotel could do with a good amount of work. New carpets and new curtains.

Arrived at the hotel early and used the parking round the back of the hotel as directed..not cheep but it's Brighton so .... entered through the back of the hotel and at first I thought we were in for a major disappointment but first impressions can sometimes be wrong. Once round in reception we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman on reception who explained we were too early to check in but told us we could leave our bags, gave directions to the toilets if we needed them, said help yourselves to iced water or the bar was just to the side and we were welcome to get a drink. We went out and checked in later. The reception area is only small but the lounge is big with comfortable seating. The walls are decorated with art and there's plenty to look at. The carpets near the lifts are well used and let the hotel down but once in our room we were happy. Iron, ironing board and safe all provided plus a tea/ coffee tray. The bathroom was long it narrow but nicely done. Two let downs about the room were the view with very dirty exterior window, (we overlooked a miserable looking part of the building, nothing nice about it at all and the dirt on the windows made it twice as bad) and there's also a shortage of sockets with nothing near the bed which was a bit awkward for us. Overall though I enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was ok but the sausage and hash browns although tasty enough looked very pale and did nothing to entice you to try.
