We had a pleasant experience overall. The staff were fantastic - very welcoming, attentive, and eager to assist with any requests. They truly made my stay enjoyable. The rooms, however, could use some refreshing. While they were clean and comfortable, a few areas showed signs of wear and could benefit from an update. When I mentioned this to the staff, they informed me that refurbishments are already underway, which is great news. Overall, I had a good stay and look forward to returning once the updates are completed. With such excellent staff and improvements on the way, this hotel is definitely worth considering if you’re visiting Brighton.

The room we were allocated had a sea view with a balcony, which was brilliant. Unfortunately, we were right next to the elevators, which were extremely noisy. I did not sleep for 3 days! The rooms themselves were very spacious, and the bathroom was clean and large. The balcony rail could have done with a bit of sanding as it was extremely rough, but with a view like that, who cares. We had breakfast daily in the hotel, which was good and had a fair variety of food available, including vegan and gluten-free options. The staff were extremely helpful, although our room was not appropriately serviced on the one day as both beds were not made and our coffee cups and glasses had not been washed when we returned in the evening. On the whole, we would more than likely return to this hotel in the future.

Nice hotel with an excellent location right by the beach. Slow service at reception and everyone seemed to have a problem with their booking. The room we were given was supposed to be a premium double with an extra bed but the extra bed was missing. This was rectified quite quickly. The room was very comfortable but tatty and the view was awful, tatty rooftops and piles of black bags. Breakfast was great and really good value. Despite the problems it was great value and I would stay there again

Lovely staff! Good location just by the sea. Check in process was extremely slow. Two couples ahead and two open desks and we still had to wait almost 15 minutes. No self check in machines. Car park underneath but the lift was out of order. Our room was in need of renovation. The fitted carpet was very worn in places, paint in the bathroom was coming off and it just generally felt worn. The AC when it worked was efficient but didn't always work. Plates, glasses and cutlery were very dirty and filthy. Never seen anything like it in any hotel before. Maybe a badly working dishwasher? Better breakfast selection than Premier Inn.

My partner booked this hotel as a birthday treat with it being in a great location and on the seafront. We had no hot water for the final 24 hours of our stay and were told we would be compensated, the reception staff advised to contact customer service upon checkout. We received a response advising that the hot water was now back on and an apology, not sure how this is compensating us. The room was tidy but tired, we also ordered room service during our stay, the first day we got half the order, second day we had to go to reception as nothing turned up, and on the final day were given no cutlery. I don’t think we’ll be staying with Holiday Inn again with these shrug shoulders responses with their customers.
