The Mockingbird is in the heart of Birmingham's creative quarter. Alongside our bar, we also operate two cinema screens (90 seater + 30 seater) that hosts an eclectic programme of cinematic and other events contained within an intimate environment. Our Bar area offers a relaxed environment and is the perfect spot to meet, work and to enjoy our food and drink too! This combination of spaces is what makes The Mockingbird the perfect venue for part or exclusive hire for both public and corporate groups.
Looking for a special birthday party, an exciting team building activity or simply a good fun office social? Screen 1 can be rented out for private events and functions to create a memorable evening.
With seating for up to 90 people, the venue can also provide with excellent food and drink all night long to make sure your evening is unforgettable.

First time visiting both the Custard Factory and the Mockingbird Cinema for the all-day Twilight movie marathon. I loved it! The staff were friendly, films were great and the chairs were comfortable. The room was a little bit too warm but that can’t be helped. I think I may have found my new favourite spot.

Came here for their Friday surprise movie with no expectations and have already booked again! Started with a £3.50 pack of Proper popcorn (happy to spend more on snacks as the movie was free!) Then, having never been to the venue before, went on an escape room mission to the bathroom - think all black corridors with white arrows taking you in a maze of directions. It was hilarious, highly recommended for that alone 🤣 Movie was the strangest thing we had seen in a long time - Welcome to the Dollhouse 1999 Good vibes, lovely staff and an all round fun experience. 10/10 highly recommend over other cinemas!

Went to see Blur - To the End documentary From booking to viewing everything about this place is set up for the customer You can choose your own seats and it’s easy to do online Screen 2’s seats are so comfortable, it felt like watching the film at home but with a few strangers The cinema staff are welcoming and also gave a friendly goodbye on the way out I also saw the staff making some kids feel extra special with stickers and posters An absolute joy to visit

Hosted an event here on 23/06/24 and I can't thank the staff enough for being super helpful in the smooth running of it. I love the cinema itself (even with it's Resident Evil secret lab-esque toilet corridors!) and would happily work with them again.

I've been here a couple of times and have been to both cinema rooms. I love the whole vibe of the place. It's super cosy and comfortable! Will definitely visit again soon ☺️
