The Mockingbird is in the heart of Birmingham's creative quarter. Alongside our bar, we also operate two cinema screens (90 seater + 30 seater) that hosts an eclectic programme of cinematic and other events contained within an intimate environment. Our Bar area offers a relaxed environment and is the perfect spot to meet, work and to enjoy our food and drink too! This combination of spaces is what makes The Mockingbird the perfect venue for part or exclusive hire for both public and corporate groups.

Before you take in the latest film offerings at Mockingbird. Be sure to sample one of our alcoholic beverages or snacks from our neon-lit, well-stocked bar. Whether it's outside basking in the Digbeth sunshine during the Summer, or keeping warm and cosy indoors during the Winter months. Our bar space offers plenty of comfort to compliment our cinema screens for your event.

First time visiting the Mockingbird Cinema in Birmingham for the Gregory's Girl showing followed by Q&A with guest the lovely Clare Grogan who was and is an absolute delight. Lovely little independent cinema with a nice layout and fine presentation. Only little downside is the lack of seat leg room which would be okay for watching movies running for two hours or less but wouldn't benefit me for longer epic movies running over two half hours. Can't be helped for an independent cinema compared to the big multiplex cinemas. Still does not deter from the main purpose which is to show great movies in a relaxed atmosphere. Look forward to another visit in the future.

First time visiting here for a fantastic James Bond event. Double feature, meet and greet with Bond girls, Lotus Esprit parked outside and live music. It was all so well organised. The screens were intimate and comfy (not a bad seat in the house) and the staff went above and beyond to make sure customers were happy. I’m looking forward to visiting again soon.

What a brilliant venue! Our first visit last week to see the Commitments movie and live band. It certainly won’t be our last. Comfortable seating and great visuals. The auditorium was cleared during the interval to create the dance floor. All very impressive, and great service from the bar team with a good selection of drinks at very reasonable prices. Everyone was super friendly and Lee was an absolute star, going above and beyond to help us secure tickets. Cannot recommend highly enough.
