The Grand Hotel Birmingham, The Grand Ballroom

Have stayed and visited this hotel several times and really impressed with the rooms and cleanliness in particular. On another note , Abdou, the concierge at this hotel, truly made our stay exceptional. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with a warm smile and immediately offered to assist with our bags. Throughout our stay, Abdou was always ready to help, whether it was carrying our luggage or offering recommendations for local attractions. His friendly and professional demeanor made us feel right at home, and his attentiveness never went unnoticed. He’s a real asset to the hotel!

We stayed here the weekend before Christmas. The hotel was beautifully decorated, grand but also cosy. The room and facilities were lovely. A great building to admire. Service was quite slow and chaotic at breakfast, possibly due to how busy it was. The gym is a typical hotel gym. Not really enough if you're a dedicated gym goer. Will definitely stay here again.

First and foremost, the rooms were incredibly spacious and beautifully appointed. The room came with thoughtful touches that made my stay even more special—a complimentary Twirl chocolate bar and an espresso machine, which I thoroughly enjoyed. These little extras really set the hotel apart. The location is ideal, just a short 7-minute walk from Birmingham New Street station, making it incredibly convenient for travelers. The staff were fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a comfortable stay. From check-in to check-out, they made me feel welcome and well looked after. Finally, the bars at The Grand were absolutely lovely. The ambiance was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring or attending meetings.
