Great hotel , lovely friendly helpful staff. I held my annual charity ball here in the Perry Barton suite. From the moment i met Sam Coles in event team I knew it would be a succes. Nothing was too much trouble for her.The food was lovely, waiting and bar staff were great, Ellie and Shona were very helpful through the day when setting up. Again nothing was too much trouble. Charlotte on the bar was fabulous too. Our double room was clean and comfortable, overall it was great. Big car park too. Thankyou to everyone.

Only stayed one night. Large well lite car park. Very friendly welcoming on arrival. Rooms were very clean & really comfy bed. Lovely pub garden & the food was delicious 😋 highly recommend the breaded brie & steak. Very friendly and helpful staff in the restaurant. You also have use of the swimming pool and gym

Unfortunately the hotel is really not up to scratch. I had a deluxe room and whilst the sheets were clean the actual touch surfaces were very dirty. I could actually scratch through the grime with my nails. Everything felt sticky. The pillows were completely flat and lumpy. There was a hairband from previous occupants in the bathroom. The tap had thick makeup/grime on it. The tassimo coffee machine had mould in the water compartment. I stayed 2 nights and after my first nights shower I put the towels on the floor by the door. When I came out of the shower the second night I discovered housekeeping had put those wet, dirty towels back on the towel rail. I'd cleaned the coffee machine and housekeeping had left the dirty cup and spoon on the side and not refilled the single pod. The spa area was filthy. Staff were standing around chatting. The ordered one meal. The burger was burnt and cold, the coleslaw inedible. There were no barstaff around to tell. I paid for breakfast for both mornings but only had it one morning. It was fine but staff were overwhelmed with not many people. There were long queues for coffee and random bits of breakfast (so there sausages and hash browns available but a 10 min wait for eggs and bacon). And then no coffee cups and searching for staff to get fresh milk. I was there for an event elsewhere and I really didn't have a lot of time and each time I didn't have energy/time to complain and get it rectified. I would normally - I considered finding a new hotel Friday night but I had had a long drive it was gone 9pm and I was exhausted. When I went to check out I went through with the desk stuff the issues and they agreed and deducted 20% off the bill. I decided to leave a review that's negative despite the deduction because I was really torn about where to book before the event and I just wanted it to be easy. Honestly didn't care how much it cost. It was a shame. All the staff I had interactions with were friendly and as helpful as they could be within their remit.
