Located some six miles east of the city centre, Blakesley Hall (Grade II* listed) is a delightfully restored timber-framed Elizabethan house set amidst idyllic grounds and with fine period interiors. Built in 1590 for Richard Smallbroke, Blakesley Hall provides a marvellous insight into the social aspirations of the Tudor middle-classes. The delightful grounds are a sight to behold throughout the seasons. With formal lawns, a traditional herb garden, an orchard and herbaceous borders, the site offers excellent opportunity for photographs. Modern gallery, barn & Great Hall available for hire.

The Hall is decorated in the 17th century style and provides a wonderful, atmospheric setting for filming or photography. The Great chamber contains rare traditional Tudor wall paintings and the wisteria clad porch entrance provides an attractive walk up. The delightful grounds are a sight to behold throughout the seasons. With formal lawns, a traditional herb garden, an orchard and herbaceous borders, the site offers excellent opportunities for photographs. The site has been used for filming by the BBC on several occasions.

Just had the best time here with our granddaughter, visiting the teddy zip wire event. It was absolutely fantastic n every member of staff was so engaging, but a special mention has to go to 'nurse' she made every child feel special. Thank you.

This place is a hidden gem. Takes you back to the good old days. Last time I came here was in primary school. A good 20 years ago. The blakesley has been maintained very well. The courtyard is free to roam and take some picturesque photos. Some many apple trees, white flowers and yellow flowers. To into Blakesley there is a £8 charge for adults and £4 (I think) for children. They also have a small shop for which you can purchase merchandises and small gifts. There's also free parking on site.
