This was our first stay over at the hotel. We have praise for all the staff from reception, concierge, waiters & room service. They were very polite, friendly & professional. We were made very welcome all the way. Our room, food & service were superb. It was a truly memorable end to celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. Thank you all. Nellie & Alan Rochowski.

The food was excellent, dinner and breakfast, and we were only surprised that we were the only diners on a Saturday evening. Service was really good. It was a lovely room, relaxing and spacious, although for some reason it was, like the rest of that part of the hotel, a bit like a sauna. We couldn't find the light switch for the ceiling lights about the two lovely wall mounted vases.

My visit to the Compleat Angler Hotel's restaurant and bar with my husband was extraordinary. Upon arrival, we were captivated by the breathtaking views over tranquil waters. Enjoying a delightful glass of wine, I found harmony in the serene ambiance. The exceptional service, marked by friendly and knowledgeable staff, greatly enhanced my experience. Whether you're looking for a romantic evening or a peaceful retreat, the Compleat Angler is a must-visit destination. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking exquisite cuisine, exemplary service, and stunning scenery. I look forward to our return!

Fantastic hotel with lovely staff. Breakfast was a bit of a let down as fried eggs were undercooked. I think the bar is extremely overpriced and the policy of double measures unless you stipulate otherwise is very cheeky and I don’t see the need. For 6 drinks £110 is ridiculous. We enjoyed ourselves and would come back but would not drink I the bar for the above reasons.

We stayed 2 nights for my 70th birthday Lovely room, very comfortable. A couple of the light switches were broken, but that did not affect us unduly. It is an old building and the walls are thin and on the Saturday night the people in the next room were very loud and kept us awake half the night, but they eventually quietened down when asked to. The hotel can't do anything about that really. We had a family meal in the restaurant on the Saturday night. There were 19 of us and everything was perfect, especially the service. Nothing was too much trouble. Our waiter, Ardjen, was excellent. We did have trouble paying our bill because of the signal, but got round it eventually.
