Whether you are planning to say “I do” in a church or within the walls of the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel, the venue will provide you and your event with the same high level of service, care and attention. Our dedicated wedding specialist, with years of experience, will be on hand at every stage to help you with your plans and preparations.
The hotel, built in 1864 retains many charming original features such as the grand Regency staircase, stuccoed frontage and mirrors. The high-ceilinged ballroom and exquisite chandeliers provide the most elegant, sophisticated setting for an extravagant celebration or intimate affair.
The hotel has four rooms which are licensed to hold civil ceremonies, allowing you to spend your whole day in the lavish location. Following your ceremony, you and your guests can enjoy your wedding breakfast and evening reception in style. The ballroom can accommodate up to 110 guests for a ceremony.
There are 123 fully refurbished (April 2019) bedrooms to accommodate your overnight guests, as well as a delightful Bridal Suite for the happy couple when the day comes to an end.

November 2024From when we booked into the hotel for a two night break it was excellent. Reception staff excellent, room very clean, breakfast very good, location overlooking beach, bar very good. It was such a lovely stay the staff can not do enough for you 5/5 will be returning. Internet service first class always had a connection for phones & iPad

October 2024I stayed here for a few night in October 2024 and overall had a very pleasant stay. Service was quick, staff were friendly, and the room I paid for was appropriate for the price. Breakfast and dinner were conveniently available, which was great after a day of travel, and the food was very nice. The room was tidy, bathroom was well stocked, and the location was hard to beat.

December 2024Stayed for work. Very comfortable stay in the room. Was clean and facilities were exactly what i needed. The carpark was small but i was lucky to get a space. I did need to download the parking app. But reception were able to top this up for me the next day. we then had a conference room booked the next. Again comfortable but the chairs were so squeaky!! We said we and a gluten free and vegan in our group but snacks were only provided for the non-awkward ones! not the end of the world. The lunch provided was excellent. I don't usually eat curry but this was exceptional. Overall would recommend and we shall certainly look to book again for work when in the area.

December 2024We booked two seafront upgraded rooms. It was a special occasion of which the hotel was aware. They made our stay extra special, going above and beyond our expectations. All staff where extremely helpful and polite, the rooms were fantastic and the whole ambience warm and welcoming. Will definitely stay again. Thank you all very much.

October 2024I stayed with my teenage daughter for 3 nights. We enjoyed a special personalized care, liked the hotel and decor, food and drinks. Room access was a slight challenge with luggage through few stairs. I appreciated flexibility when amending reservation 2 days before arrival. Hotel is on the sea front of Brighton towards west beach. Overall we were happy especially with the reception and customer service.
