The award winning Green House is a beautiful eco-friendly boutique hotel in the heart of Bournemouth that lives and breathes sustainability. The hotel opened in April 2010 to rave reviews and in November 2010 was named ‘Small Hotel of the Year’ at the Bournemouth Tourism Awards.
Just minutes from the white sandy beaches of Bournemouth, this privately owned Grade II Victorian Villa has been extensively renovated with an investment in excess of £5m, to prove that luxury travel and eco-consciousness can co-exist.
On the surface, this 32 bedroom hotel may appear to be the same as many other designer boutique style properties, its contemporary décor, tactile fabrics and quality natural materials including wood, metal and glass, complementing the light airy period rooms and gothic architecture.
Private Events Room : A large events room with a private bar, separate from the main hotel areas, which provides a private, versatile space for up to 100 guests.
Hire of any space includes complimentary car parking, wifi, & still and sparking water. The hotel is fully accessible with a lift serving all floors and there’s a private entrance so your guests won’t have to walk through the main hotel reception. CANCELLATION CHARGES EFFECTIVE FROM: 8 weeks prior to event Cancellation of entire event within the 8 week period running up to the event = 50% of total event due Cancellation of entire event within the 6 week period running up to the event = 75% of total event due Cancellation of entire event within 4 week period running up to the event = full payment of total event due Cancellation of individual rooms/delegates within four week period = full payment of that room/delegate If more than 10 rooms booked, one room per 10 may be canceled within a 48 hour period

January 2025Most Delicious afternoon tea. Had the most enjoyable and delicious champagne afternoon tea. The nicest cream tea we have ever had full of flavour and beautifully presented. Compliments to the chef ! The staff were warm and welcoming. We would definitely recommend. Many thanks for such a relaxing time, would love to return and taste more on the menu.

February 2025We had an afternoon tea gift from a member of my wife’s family on our wedding day in January and decided to go back to the Green House as we had already had an afternoon tea with my son and newly wed wife last year. We had a delightful afternoon tea last year with plenty of sandwiches and savoury’s and bottomless coffee/tea. We were both looking forward to having a delightful afternoon tea again. We had a lovely warm greeting from the staff and showed a window table and found the surrounding lovely. The gentleman who served ourselves was extremely friendly and informative. But I am sorry the tea only contained savouries and extremely sweet and sugary items that have left me feeling sick all afternoon. I was really hoping for a selection of sandwiches. I must also mention the gentleman serving ourselves was extremely busy and would have benefited from some assistance as we did have to wait a long time for coffee refills as he was busy serving others. My wife is coeliac and we had requested gluten free well in advance, the bread and savoury’s tasted stale and the scone was somewhat undercooked and had to return to have replaced and was very similar to the first. Overall we have a much better experience last year.

February 2025This was the second time my husband and I have stayed at the Green House. We first stayed many years ago when they first opened. The staff and welcome was wonderful. We received a complimentary upgrade, which was so kind. The room required a bit of paint and up-keep, the mattress on the bed was too soft and the pillows were awful. The breakfast was ok. We did find that things were not as good in comparison to when we first stayed there. Overall, good location to stay when in Bournemouth but an average place to lay your head for the night.
