The historic venue has recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment to restore the building’s original character and elegance.
From small, intimate ceremonies to large, extravagant celebrations, we have three rooms for you to choose from for your civil ceremony. The Vancouver Suite seats up to 40 guests for an intimate ceremony. The suite is sleek and modern design with a few timeless pieces, such as the exquisite chandeliers. Our Nelson room is more traditional in style and can accommodate up to 60 of your closest friends and family. For a much larger affair, the Walpole Ballroom can hold 220 guest for your wedding celebrations.
At the Duke’s Head, we provide an outstanding quality of cuisine for your wedding breakfast. You can choose from our amazing range, or create your own menu. We aim to create a menu that reflects your individual tastes and we can even arrange a tasting session before the big day.
If you choose one of our fantastic wedding packages, our resident DJ will be available to you. With fantastic lighting and sound equipment, they are there throughout the night to keep the party going. Our DJ is happy to take requests and will make sure that all your favourite and important songs are played from the first dance to the last.
When the evening’s festivities draw to a close, you can spend your first night of married life in the luxury of one of our beautiful Bridal Suites. For your guests looking to spend the night, we offer special rates for a range of fantastic rooms.
A personal wedding coordinator will be on hand every step of the way to ensure that your day is everything you want.

Lovely hotel really good location. service was excellent and a bonus wonderful proper cocktails. Very good cooked breakfast with gluten free options. Only downside was the lighting in the rooms was so muted hard to see to put makeup on and had to use the light on my phone to read. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel with amazing friendly staff. I stayed here for an evening in Kings Lynn and check in was a smooth and quick process, it was a small £10 charge to park in their car park for 24hrs. The room was tidy and well presented with adequate amenities for the evening. I went out for dinner and when I returned was able to get a few drinks in at the bar. The service at the bar was impressive and the cocktails were amazing. The bed was comfy and easy to sleep in, and the shower was hot first thing in the morning. All in all a great stay at this very well presented hotel, with extremely helpful and friendly staff.

My room was in the old part of the hotel with its sloping floors and an ancient staircase, straight out of a 1930's vampire movie. The hotel looks newly decorated, the two lounges one opposite the bar a larger one opposite the restaurant with several groups seating, all looking very welcoming. The staff are all very cheerful and helpful, close to the shops a great find; looking forward to the next visit.

Staff very friendly. Room was nice but smell of damp was off putting. Carpet outside really wet. Did report to receptionist who will escalate it. Food was very nice last belly pork portion a little small for the price. The fish and chips was lovely and we had a lovely breakfast this morning. They were very good providing a gluten free breakfast. I would stay here again . Location was perfect.
