Flora Indica is a unique and stylish restaurant and lounge bar in the heart of Kensington and Chelsea, close to Earl's court tube. The eclectic decor pays homage to Scottish botanists who travelled throughout India in Queen Victoria's reign cataloguing its exotic flora and fauna. There is a funky mix of Harris tweed, steampunk and warm teak. The menu is not what you have come to expect from Indian food, instead the food is light dishes of delicately-spiced ingredients.

In keeping with the botanical theme, gin is the house speciality, although there is a full cocktail bar alongside an extensive wine and champagne list. There is even a dedicated Flora Indica beer crafted exclusively for the restaurant by the Portobello Brewery.

Lucky enough to find this gem while looking for a late night dinner for our anniversary. Decorated very beautifully inside and the tandoori chicken biryani was very flavorful!

Amazing ambience, service and food for afternoon tea. Thomas explained everything in depth between the design of tiles to the ceiling, food was delicious (including the vegetarian options), and their in house tea blend was very nice.

Although there is limited vegan and vegetarian options on the menu, I love the concepts of the dishes!
