Flora Indica is a unique and stylish restaurant and lounge bar in the heart of Kensington and Chelsea, close to Earl's court tube. The eclectic decor pays homage to Scottish botanists who travelled throughout India in Queen Victoria's reign cataloguing its exotic flora and fauna. There is a funky mix of Harris tweed, steampunk and warm teak. The menu is not what you have come to expect from Indian food, instead the food is light dishes of delicately-spiced ingredients.
In keeping with the botanical theme, gin is the house speciality, although there is a full cocktail bar alongside an extensive wine and champagne list. There is even a dedicated Flora Indica beer crafted exclusively for the restaurant by the Portobello Brewery.
The lower ground floor restaurant can be booked exclusively for corporate events, birthday parties, Christmas parties or any sort of celebration that you can think of. The space can seat up to 60 guests on tables of approximately 6 people.
Should you wish to have a completely private event, you can book both the restaurant and ground floor lounge bar to give you a pre/post dinner space for canapes and cocktails.

Absolutely Brilliant place. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere and the service were all top notch. Must gets on the shareable menu are the chickpea bites, the chicken skewers, the torched tuna and the Sorbasada Croquettes. The lamb as well as the monk fish were nest level. As amazing as the food, wine, and drinks are. Thomas the Manager was the highlight of the whole experience.

Came in here for an app and drinks. Food was so good that we ordered a couple more apps. They put a very unique spin on the dishes (like the artichoke bhel). Drinks were also fantastic, I had a passion fruit coconut margarita and hubby had a rhubarb infused gin. As tourists we also visited the ever so popular Dishoom, and I have to say I preferred this by far. Shoutout to Triford who we enjoyed chatting with. Don’t miss this spot in the Earl’s Court area.

The restaurant is unusual and very beautifully decorated. We liked the food, I would like to mention the shrimp with mango. I am taking off one star for the incorrect bill, which included 3 extra items.
