Congratulations on your engagement! Are you looking for something a little different for your wedding venue?
Whitworth Hall is one of the most stunning historical venues at The University of Manchester, situated at the heart of the University’s gothic Old Quadrangle.
The Hall was designed by Paul Waterhouse and named after Mancunian industrialist, Sir Joseph Whitworth, who bequeathed much of his fortune to fund public developments in Manchester. The hall is Grade II listed and today forms the back drop of the University’s graduation ceremonies and key ceremonial events.
Whitworth Hall’s magnificent setting provides a venue which is steeped in history and grandeur, and can accommodate up to 300 people for a wedding banquet.

We were here during college summer break, so presumably much calmer then typical. Extremely quiet and agreeable in the old science library. Great food and drink. Will go once more. Will go once more

Good food in a wonderful classically designed building. The dining room has bookshelves dotted around, has high ceilings, is airy and has portraits of University luminaries. Impressive.
