Incredibly beautiful hotel with a large area for the soul and relaxation. The food in the restaurant is quite tasty, an abundance of wine, very friendly staff, spa, massage, sauna and a warm pool on the hotel grounds that allows you to swim in it even when it rains. A large selection of products at the buffet for breakfast and of course I can not help but note the contingent of people who come there, these are only connoisseurs of the good life👌

It’s pricey but I think you do get what you pay for here. All of the staff I came across were fantastic. Stayed in a courtyard room, ok size, comfy bed, nice bathroom and shower with all the amenities. Only complaint was it was really warm even though not that hot outside. A fan was in the room but I later found the towel rail and underfloor heating was on so don’t think that helped. Breakfast was best I’ve had in a hotel in the UK. Cooked buffet and made to order eggs or waffle. The best ever pastries. Top quality fresh fruit. Cereals and other continental stuff plus lots of cute condiments in little jars. I was playing golf which was also great but didn’t get a chance to check out the other amenities but they did look good too.

What a fantastic hotel. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning set just over the border in Scotland the grounds and the views are just perfect in a quiet retreat. My partner and I had such a lovely stay the room we stayed in was outstanding. The service is second to none and prompt as soon as we asked the hotel staff delivered. The spa is just beautiful with it infinity pool made the morning crisp air on the face while u felt warm from the heated pool. A relaxing and a most go place for all the family and even the dog. The food on the evening was perfect from detail and taste. Followed by a whiskey and a chat to the bar staff who give you a great insight in the the rich history if the hotel and each bar and the reason behind its name. This is a most go to hotel the only thing my partner and I picked up on was there seems to be a designated time for children to be inthe spa from the adults travelling without children or escaping life with children however it was still nice it's definitely a 5 star hotel pushing all boundaries to be the best it can be.
