My wife and I spent a two week holiday in the UK back in April, and had an amazing time and stayed in some incredible places, but THIS was the Crown Jewel of all the places we stayed. Very sad we had time for only one night - but beyond amazing! The modern portion of the lodging is tucked behind the profile of the old manor, when you drive up the view is enchanting. We were a tad late for my wife's spa treatment and the staff made accommodations nonetheless. We were in the main part of the hotel, and had a delicious room service lunch in the afternoon, and ate at the onsite restaurant for dinner. There are 3 bars, and another restaurant that is seasonal. Golf, archery, fly fishing, skeet shooting, heated pool (bring your swimmers!), spa...all tucked away in the placid Scottish countryside. We did take a hike to the old rail viaduct...so much to do - we plan to make it back and spend more than a day, and likely in one of the cottages + golf! The staff was welcoming, engaging, and very helpful - great hospitality, and amazing experience. Can't wait to return!

Service was great. Spa brilliant, attention to detail when being treated as guests was brilliant. The only things I could pick fault with was the room colour was a very bold red which brought my wife's annoyed/angry side out. Most likely due to the fact that the color in itself promotes it. And the faceplates in the rooms were bright white Schneider Lisse (Anything but luxury, this is a style that is commonly used in domestic dwellings and is bought in mass for social housing. I would have expected brushed brass or something similar literally anything else than you basic sub £2 faceplate. Also the lack of USB charging meant that you were disappointed as you would expect there to be USB charging outlets next to the bed. Mirror in bathroom was slightly loose and was fixed as soon as we mentioned it so very impressed with that. Overall 100% recommend just some areas that stick out like sore thumbs that definitely could use some improvement. Being in the trade these things are easily seen that others would miss.

Another incredible stay at the Roxburghe! This was my second visit, and it certainly won’t be my last. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely lovely—attentive, warm, and always eager to make our stay special. The hotel itself is stunning, but the spa is truly an idyllic escape, offering the perfect place to unwind and relax. Every detail of our stay was flawless, making it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for luxury, tranquility, and impeccable service!

Gorgeous hotel with spacious rooms. I would recommend going to the spa before breakfast or later in the evening because it does get busy. I was surprised to see children playing in the spa pool mid day, which was probably not relaxing for the other guests. Breakfast was good but the made to order eggs were not consistent. I would also skip sunlaws next time. Whiskey bar was an amazing highlight and the lady working there was very knowledgeable. The other lounge areas were nice to escape larger groups and the main building is full of fireplaces.
