The concept of this rooftop reminded me a lot of San Francisco and really enjoyed the vibe! There was a DJ playing some great remixes and hits. The rooftop was beautiful and the weather was perfect when we visited! Now the biggest downfall was the service. It was like pulling teeth to get the attention of the waiting staff. Our order got mixed up a few times and we waited FOREVER to be seated ( waited for a host…without a wait time…multiple tables were available), waited for a waiter to give us a menu, water and take our order, waited for a staff member to take our reorders, and finally waited the longest for a staff member to provide our bill. Other than the immense waiting, we did enjoy our experience here!

Very impressed with John Lewis’s rooftop bar. A lessor mortal than that of Selfridge’s. However, this is reflected in lower prices but quality is superb! Service too. Well done John Lewis & Partners! Valuable space being used wisely as temperatures warm.

Super lovely spot to meet friends and have small plates! Although expensive, the atmosphere and customer service are excellent. Not a great variety of food options, the monkfish tempura dish was a bit oily and the mocktail I had was average.

Only adding our experience, other reviews describe the place. Food and drink were good - except the lobster rolls, which were basically a tiny hotdog bun with sauce and 3 bits of lobster, barely tasted it, if at all. I think the overall price is good for both; if for the fact that a rooftop in London, of that size, is not easy to find. We had a nice and sunny spring day, no shade unless you are at a booth, but some people enjoy this, so good atmosphere and setting. The bill for 2 people, having had about 2 snacks and 4 "mains", with 1 deink each, was 95 quid... mind you, there is Services charge itemized wmin the bill, 10 quid. The fact that it is above a John Lewis store in the heart of Oxford street is a really nice plus, but also a potential annoyance. We arrived at 2pm on a saturday, no line and available spots - we had reservations. We left around 4pm and a long line was forming inside the 5th floor of the deparment store isle.

As a John Lewis membership holder for a long time, this rooftop bar has been one of my go-to. I took a couple of friends yesterday which was their first time right after work to grab some bottle and bites. Got there just after 4. Everything was lovely including the 30C weather albeit delays in getting our food. Just after 5, staff came & said we will need to leave soon as we could only stay for 1.5hrs. Right after staff came with the bill & card machine. Had to stand up to them: 1. They did not tell us of the limited table hours (and usually it’s 2hrs) 2. When asked they gave us the menu ready for us to get another wine bottle which we didn’t get to do obviously 3 we were still waiting for a missing dish which by the way was already charged onto the bill …wow just wow! Fair play to the manager who “took control” of the situ BUT management needs to train staff better customer service and be clear with your table service terms & conditions (btw the 3 of us are in hospitality as well) #putoff
