A meeting place in the heart of Ascot for over 140 years, now this historic building has been refurbished, remade and redesigned. A place where the past meets the present, where log fires meet Mediterranean-inspired food, where cask ales meet wood fired pizza. It’s also where we’ve made a hotel with 24 beautiful guest rooms each with bespoke, contemporary interiors. This is the new Royal Foresters of Ascot.

Come through the main entrance, beautifully framed with wisteria, and arrive into our fully restored original bar with two period fireplaces. Through a brand new glazed extension on the east side, we offer a charming view onto a landscaped terrace and freshly planted beer garden.

The restaurant boasts an open kitchen, a hallmark of the Oakman collection, where our chefs can be observed creating freshly prepared dishes, using the highest quality, responsibly sourced ingredients. As well as meat, fish and pasta favourites, diners can also delight in a great range of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options, along with daily seasonal specials.

Wedding receptions, birthday celebrations and a variety of other functions are easily catered for, with room for 60 seated guests, both inside and outside, on the terrace surrounded by fresh plants. Whatever the occasion, our enthusiastic and talented team will make it a memorable one.

We got a last minute deal for a one night stay with our dog. It's very dog friendly, and the staff were all great. We had breakfast included and the options, portions and taste were all amazing. Would recommend this hotel if you want to stay in the area. The bar area seemed very popular in the evening but we couldn't hear the noise from our room.

Went for dinner as a couple, first time after having our baby boy and did not have a reservation, considering it was a spontaneous thing. The staff was nice and were able to find us a table to enjoy the nice weather. The food was good and we would definitely come back.

Overall the place is good: nice food, good menu choices, a bit expensive (especially burgers) but nothing too crazy. The only thing that wasn’t by its best was the customer service. Our waiter wasn’t much attentive and if we wouldn’t go to the manager we wouldn’t get our food (after 1h of waiting we asked where is our order and we found out that the ticket got lost in the kitchen). The manager was super helpful, put our order as the priority and offered free round of drinks.

Long weekend stay to see family. Could not fault the hotel. Tracey the manager and her team were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to friends and family and would stay again. Rooms were very quiet, facilities in room were very good. Great eating areas and lovely breakfast. Plenty of parking. Look forward to staying to staying in the future

Little deer for some of the food cost £6 for a bowl of veg and only got broccoli and peas. However I had the gammon egg and chips which was amazing, gammon was a bit more charred than I like but still lovely and very flavoursome. Was with a group and most had the pizzas which they said tasted amazing! Service was okay wasn’t the fastest nor the slowest.
