Afternoon tea at The Landmark London remains one of the most sought after in town. This is due to the Winter Garden, which showcases the property’s opulent Victorian design.

The same stateliness echoes through its Grand Ballroom – picture high, stucco ceilings and white-marble columns – which turns conferences and banquets into elegant affairs. At the small end of its room lineup, groups can check into the Tower Suite for well-heeled private dinners or big-wig meetings in tasteful grey-velvet chairs. With Marylebone station a few metres from the hotel’s covered entrance, arriving by rail is a perfectly pleasant endeavour.

Overall, it was a great afternoon tea experience. The atmosphere was great. The pastries were beautifully decorated, and I especially loved the black fig tart. As a pistachio lover, I was delighted to put the pistachio cream on the scones. Staffs were pretty attentive, frequently asking if I’d like a refill of the sandwiches.

My wife and I had our wedding here and words cannot describe how amazing the experience was. My wife also stayed at the hotel the night before and we both stayed at the hotel the night of our wedding and the service was impeccable. The attention to detail, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was unmatched. All of our guests and others who used the hotel also agreed that they would be returning! The events team are amazing and among some of the best I have ever seen in my life. Thank you Landmark and all the staff, from the front door to kitchens and cleaners, everyone was amazing.

We visited the Christmas Afternoon Tea last weekend and we really loved it. Live Piano music. Perfect service. We had a toddler with us and the staff was very helpful and charming with the little one. We loved the scones. Sandwich’s were good, could have been a bit more special. And we liked the pastries. Very good tee. All in all definitely a recommendation for a Christmas afternoon with friends, even with kids or as a couple.

After just one brilliant night stay The Landmark has quickly become one of my favourite hotels. Everything from the moment you walk through the doors standouts to be a high class 5 star hotel. Check in was awesome, they were kind enough to give us and early check in and a free upgrade. Great start. The hotel has many different amazing aspects of it, it's stunning, plenty of things to do, child friendly and an all round great place to either visit or stay. Highly recommend it, put it on your list of places to stay in London!

I attend and provide critique as a mystery reviewer regularly for different restaurants so here are some honest comments of our experience: The hotel location and venue is luscious but evidently overpriced for its offering. They mainly target businesspeople and international investors, hence why it appears only businesspersons, international guests and those with special occasions attend. We attended the restaurant which is a picturesque setting in the middle of the building in a courtyard where all rooms can look into. One would presume this is a fine dining experience. When checking in, we were told that, despite making a reservation specifically for our special occasion, tables are allocated on a first come first served basis. Once full, even with reservation, they can turn away attendees. There was no cloakroom offered for walk-in guests. Having ordered appetites and mains, it took approximately 45 minutes for starters (with very few diners present) and a further 30 minutes for main course. Regrettably both were bland and overpriced, with no real sense of cuisine or delicacy (one would unfortunately concede on small portions given it was fine dining but the lack of flavour is somewhat disappointing for the price you pay). The food was not particularly hot either, so did not help with the overall experience. The waiters were prompt to take one's order, and a 12.5 service charge is added but very minimal effort made for guests. The lavatory facilities are maintained to a high standard.
