We visited the hotel for a spa day. I’d like to start from the beginning. When you enter the area of the club, there are no signs that show you to the spa and nor there are lights on the way and it makes it impossible to find your way in dark. The outdoor pool is quite nice but the indoor one is unfortunately dirty. We have not even used once. Massage and spa facilities were good and clean but we can not say that we were satisfied with the food. Everything, all the drinks and the food was overpriced. The service was good but we waited for a table to eat at for some time. The dining area is not large enough to provide enough tables for the customers. Overall, we find the spa overpriced and not a high quality one.

Mixed feelings about this place. It’s completely overpriced, Especially the food which also left both myself and my partner with food poisoning from the Japanese Grill I suspect. No proper curtains for privacy in the bathroom in the Oscar Wilde room so you basically shower and use the loo for all to see when you have lights on. The bed linen is way too hard and not comfy at all and the pillows way too high. Lastly, if you stay at the Village you need to use buggy’s and there are ridiculous speed humps installed making for a very unpleasant journey. (Also note - same with the main road in) You need to be seriously cashed up to even scrape the surface of this place and be left satisfied in some way. I wouldn’t recommend it, there are way better places than this.

Shocking and really concerning experience at Japanese Grill Restaurant. Please read reviews carefully as there are lots commenting on poor food quality and service. I wish we had done! We are regular diners at Beaverbrook Japanese Grill and have been every year and loved our experience from the service to the quality of the food. We dined over two weeks ago for my husband's birthday - I spent most of the meal in the toilets being ill upon eating the seafood. Immediately we asked whether the chef had changed (the menu was awful and not to the usual Beaverbrook standard), the quality of the seafood terrible very chewy and inedible. We alerted the restaurant manager Vernon immediately to my being ill - to which he disappeared (!) and left us at the bar, did not once come to check on me, was extremely rude to us and has not yet called me back to discuss my experience. Nor has his managed (the Director of Operations Hannah) to discuss my experience. I called again the following morning to feed this back and Vernon was extremely rude to me again. Such a shame the Japanese Grill has become so awful and does not take feedback seriously - we did not expect such awful service and food a at Beaverbrook.
