Lysses organised our Mum's "wake" last week and made the whole process slick and professional. The setting & building are exquisite and the food was perfect. The staff were kind and helpful. Lysses was always Mum's favourite place to go with Dad, me my son, for lunch, when he was a baby/toddler, so it was the perfect choice. Our Mum would have thoroughly approved of everything. Thank you for making a sad occasion memorable & special. Debbie Maidwell & family.

This is a lovely Georgian hotel, when we arrived we asked if our rooms had a bath and they changed them for us which meant we had a lovely view from 2nd floor and nice big bath. Breakfast was good - ok service was a bit slow but it’s not a “business” hotel and the waiter was around for us to ask for what we needed. It is very good value and I think some of the complainers need to bear this in mind. Shock, horror - in an old hotel you have to walk up stairs; this is made very clear in the hotel details. I’m personally v glad there is still a good, old fashioned, low key hotel in existence.

Our perfect wedding 05.10.2024 From our first initial chat to Clive about our Wedding and the day itself, Clive and team were all so professional, helpful and absolutely amazing. Staying the night before with many of our guests, our room was ideal, neat, clean and very comfy. Wedding ceremony, was punctual and all went according to plan. Landscape Garden was the perfect setting for our photos, standing under the feature tree surrounded by beautiful flowers. Wedding breakfast food was absolutely delicious each guest had the option of picking from three different choices from starter, main and desert and are all still raving about their chosen dishes, outstanding. Evening reception worked so well having the bar situated in a middle room, with comfy seating areas and dancing room flowing off. A vast choice for buffet food, again absolutely delicious. Our family and friends are still saying how perfect the whole day and evening went. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue and compliment you all on having something very special, going above and beyond. Thank you so much for making our and our guests day so memorable. What a team. Kind Regards Michelle and Laurence Ford

Great place to eat with friends. A quiet and pleasant room to catch up or a romantic evening.Food and drinks were delivered in good time and with a smile. The goat cheese tart was delicious as a starter. We had the Haddock and pork for our mains, both were full of flavour and again delicious. We will definitely be back.

Located in the main Fareham town centre with walkable access to shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is quaint, and given it's one of the only places to stay in the area, it hasn't really needed to upgrade itself. It is is definitely on the older, outdated side of things in terms of its decor and the rooms are not soundproofed at all. The room we had was spacious, although the bed was a bit smaller than we had hoped. The hotel itself was clean. That being said what the hotel lacks in its decor it makes up for in its service. Everyone we encountered was very friendly, attentive & efficient. Price wise it's on the more expensive side, but they do include full breakfast in the price.
