Following its purchase in 2009 by the Royal Society, Grade I-listed Georgian country house Chicheley Hall, near Milton Keynes, has become the Kavli Royal Society International Centre, a facility
dedicated to the advancement of science. The centre is available to hire exclusively for residential conferences and social events, with all profits going towards the work of the Society.
Chock-full of period features, the refurbishment programme carefully conserved the hall’s 18th-century architecture, while bringing the conference facilities and bedrooms in line with the
requirements of modern business. The main event space is the Wolfson Centre, which features two 100-seater lecture halls and a glazed atrium serving as a breakout space, a conference office and a
small meeting room. Teambuilding activities are available in the 85 acres of grounds and include a Crystal Maze-style challenge and the building of a replica F1 racing car.

A bit of late review but we were just reminiscing my brother wedding last year! We had a night at Chichlry hall and started the wedding procession from there. The rooms were beautiful and so relaxing ahead of a stressful day. Tamarin was amazing in co ordinating the wedding morning all the way from south wales. We have the most beautiful pictures set in their gardens. We are definitely coming back for another stay!

This was a reasonable hotel but needs a lot of refurbishment. The rooms are not very big, some of us were cold too. I could have done with a chair, could only sit on the bed. Having said that, the staff were really helpful, especially to me as I am disabled. All extremely friendly too. I would stay there again and it will be a lovely place when finished. It always takes time to do these older homes up. The gardens were really great to walk around and to sit in and my room looked out over one of them. Thank you.

Having just arrived to our room to find the toilet seat broken, a bulb gone in the bathroom and no plug in the sink. The sink tap also has a lot of limescale build up. We are a family of 4 with 2 dogs. I would have thought we’d have been situated on the ground floor as we have dogs but we were on the second floor. It feels a though the dog friendly rooms are not so looked after. The location is amazing, just make sure you ask for a good room!!
