Part of large complex. Rooms are nice and spacious. Clean and tidy. Not much to do in the area but there's a bar open until 11 and 2 places to get food. Free parking

This hotel has some great history. It was once the officers mess when it was part of RAF Cranfield. This makes it perfect if you are visiting or working at the University opposite. My trouble was that we booked 6 rooms. Three were huge, I guess these were for high ranking officers. But the other three rooms were the smallest rooms I have ever seen, again I guess for lower ranking officers when it was an RAF camp. But strangely all the rooms are discribed as double rooms with a double bed. This is certainly not the case. At a stretch you could lay in bed and touch both walls, and if you used the suitcase stand provided you can't get into the bathroom. I mentioned all this at checkout and the on duty manager said he wouldn't be happy staying there. So ten out of ten for honestly. The plus points are the bar and restaurant where cheap and the rooms at the moment are only £40 per night due to the university being on summer holidays. We won't be staying here again.
