Booked the dinner bed and breakfast package for a Friday night. The receptionist checking us in was lovely, wish I had remembered her name - short blond hair, 20's, really pretty. Asked us what we were down for and we said concert. When checking out the next day she remembered and asked us how we had enjoyed the night. Dinner was gorgeous, as was breakfast, and we did not go hungry! Staff on both dinner and breakfast shifts were great. Room was lovely, clean and comfortable.

Was at a Christmas dinner dance with champagne in the reception what a flap. The glasses were not set up 200 people, 30 tops and two bottles of wine? This took some time to even get through 100 two bottles at a time.🤡. Food service slow and not coherent gravy and cranberry after the table was finished 👀. For staff all very young and in experience first night on the job no training left to it.🤯 Later on the bar with a cue of people who have cash in hand, told card only as the duty manger has taken the till,s at 10:46 no warning or notice to inform people no more cash for , security or after 11 for insurance or what ever. Just left the bar staff to deal with it. Training, training, training that what makes a good hotel.. and experience.....

Nice room, comfortable beds. No issues with the room. I didn't like the bar. Too bright and no atmosphere. Needs refurb. Wanted to get a drink before going out for dinner but there were no seats in the bar as there was a Christmas party night on. I asked a staff member could we sit at a table in the 'restaurant' area (same room as bar but just a small partition), but we were not allowed as it was for people ordering food only. There were very few tables in use and we could easily have been accommodated. Reception staff not very friendly. Breakfast was fairly good, standard hotel breakfast. Good coffee machine. The hotel advertises a discounted rate for the NCP car park. We got about £3 off the £28 fee. The best thing about the hotel is the location.

Room was disappointing considered it was called a deluxe twin. The roof of bathroom was in need of a repaint. The room was cold with the draft from the hall. Also a suggestion for rooms would be to supple bath sheets rather than bath towels as I'm tall lady and doesn't cover much. The breakfast was diabolical. Disorganised. No clean tables, noone to greet us, no plates, no glasses. However, despite that the food was nice when I had something to dish it on and we got cutlery to table. The staff were pleasant so no complaints there at all. But for the price I paid and quality of the room it was disappointing. I stayed here last year at same time of year and the room was better and cheaper. So my expectations were high.

Unfortunately we found this hotel very rundown and also a little dirty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was broken glass all over the ramp outside. During our staff it was extremely busy with Christmas parties which we understood but it would have been nice to be informed of this prior to our arrival. The location is good but no parking at the hotel.
