Beautiful countryside and immaculate green grounds surround Swynford Manor, and as you walk through its doors, you’ll be enveloped in luxury. From the Bridal Preparation Room to the Garden Room and the terrace, you’ll have exclusive access to this refined venue – and who doesn’t want to play lord and lady of the manor on their special day?
Just 20 minutes from Cambridge, Swynford Manor was built in the 1800s and boasts a rich history. Lord Byron was known to stay in the summer, sitting beneath one of the grounds’ trees to write, and King Charles II held his 12-mile horse race on the lane outside.
Swynford Manor is full of wonderful surprises. Off of the magnificent monochrome entrance hall you’ll find the Study and the Drawing Room, flexible spaces you can use as you wish. The Study is perfect for ceremonies and can accommodate up to 100.
The prime reception space, with room for 50-150 guests, is the Garden Room. Imagine windows for walls, a sparkling checkerboard dancefloor, huge velvet wingback chairs, lights adorned with metallic tassels, and beams that juxtapose contemporary design with the manor’s historic, country roots. From here you’ll look out on the stunning grounds – why not invite your guests to spill out into the sunshine?
There’s plenty of space to stay at Swynford Manor too with 13 rooms including the Bridal Suite, which is situated at the top of its own staircase. The suites have striking copper baths, beautiful black carved fireplaces, and huge beds. This is a wedding destination everyone will enjoy...

February 2025We got married at Swynford Manor in Feb 2025. It was the first wedding venue we saw, and we booked straight away. The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL, and fit our style as a couple perfectly. The team were super helpful during the planning process and our planning meetings helped keep us calm and very organised in the lead up to the big day. On our wedding day, our wedding coordinator, Maddy, couldn't have been better - she helped keep us both calm, ensured our entire day was perfect and ran smoothly and was just amazing. Our family and friends couldn't say enough good things about the team and venue, and we believe we couldn't have found a better place to hold our wedding! Thank you again for everything.

February 2025Our Wedding at Swynford Manor 28.12.24 was PERFECT. From the very second I walked in I knew there was no point viewing any more venues. Martina the sales specialist could not have been any better, fast replies, on hand for all questions and excellent customer service. I felt immediately confident in the venue and the Swynford team. The handover to the event coordinators was smooth and the planning process was made easy. I was greeted by the absolutely fabulous Maria on my wedding day. Maria could not do enough for us, the attention to detail on setting up co-ordinated by her was superb. Maria you are brilliant at what you do, a massive thank you to you. Maddy then took over and co-ordinated our day. Maddy and I had worked closely together and assured us a fantastic day. And that is what we had. Maddy was on top of absolutely everything, keeping me in the loop throughout the day. I had an unusual set up, which included two large difficult turnarounds - both were done without a hitch. I felt like i had three stunning rooms on my day, yet all were in the same room! Maddy was brilliant, smart, friendly and her want to ensure an amazing day in all its beauty did not go un noticed. Maddy and the team exceeded my expectations and I am so grateful. A huge thank you to Maddy, you were so thoughtful with everything. The food was incredible, my guests are still talking about how lovely it was today. The staff were brilliant, cocktails amazing, service was quick and everyone including us had an incredible day. Swynford Manor is a spectacular venue, and with their amazing events team it makes it even better. Thank you to everyone who made our dreams come true. Sam & Skye xx
