It is a beautiful university. Old and modern buildings exist in harmony. Super close to the city centre as well! Great architecture and great place for learning and knowledge building

I am interested in understanding the mysterious algorithm used for allocating accommodations at the University of Manchester. I understand there is no guarantee of getting preferred choices. However, on a platform of more than 100 students, it was observed that people from a certain group did not receive any of their top five choices, despite applying early. When I contacted the school's accommodation team, I was told allocations are not yet complete. Why would someone not get any of their preferred options when those options haven't been fully booked? Perhaps someone impartial at the university should review what's happening.
