Great experience for all. Plenty of past service members offering up tales, facts, and demonstrations of their time aboard and the equipment used at the time. The kids enjoyed spelling out their names using Morse code with Andrew K.

HMS Belfast not only offers a deep dive into naval history, but visitors can also play World of Warships on interactive terminals inside the ship. Additionally, free guided tours provide valuable insights and enhance your visit. To avoid crowds, plan your visit on weekdays, and make sure to explore both the lower decks and the bridge for a complete experience.

Wow, an absolutely amazing experience for myself and my 7 yr old daughter. I was worried she wouldn't enjoy it, as it's more my thing but we decided to use my IWM membership and have a look. The view from outside doesn't give the true impression about how vast it is and you easily need 2 hours to see everything, 3 if engrossed in it. We were lucky it wasn't particularly busy when we arrived and there are some amazing opportunities to photograph the area as well as many many different parts of the ship. You get very easily immersed in the rich history of the ship across all 9 decks! Moving around the place isn't for the less-mobile but part of the appeal for both of us was the clambering up and down ladders, through doors and into different sections! There's a free audio guide to take around with you, though we didn't on this occasion as we wanted to just explore on our own. All the staff from shop to on board volunteers were excellent, friendly and helpful.

HMS Belfast is a fascinating museum ship on the River Thames, offering a unique glimpse into life aboard a World War II-era warship. Exploring its nine decks, you can get a real sense of what it was like for the crew, from the engine rooms to the captain’s bridge. The interactive exhibits and detailed displays make it engaging for visitors of all ages, especially those interested in naval history. The views of Tower Bridge and the surrounding area from the ship are an added bonus. It’s a must-visit for history buffs and anyone looking to experience a piece of Britain’s maritime heritage up close!

A great museum if you are even somewhat interested in ships! You get to see many interesting parts of the ship and the ticket price includes a free audio guide guide that can tell you more about the things you are seeing. Only downside was that one of the turrets and the boiler room was closed when I visited.
