Situated on the east side of Southampton High Street just north of Holy Rood Church, Ottoman Kitchen is located in a unique building constructed in the 1850s. It is a purpose-built three-storey commercial building with Italianate details. In the 19th and early 20th centuries it was the premises of the Wilts and Dorset Bank and later Lloyd’s Bank. After World War Two it housed a branch of the Woolwich Building Society, hence the name Woolwich House. It was converted to a public house in the 1990s and later in 2019 into the Ottoman Kitchen Turkish Restaurant.
The main restaurant seats just over 120 people and there is an additional private room which can accommodate up to 40 guests for a completely private dining experience. One of the few private dining venues in Southampton.

June 2024My partner and I went on a Friday night around 8.15ish hadn’t booked but we managed to get a table, the place was full. The food was amazing 🤩 service was fantastic and the staff were very friendly, I’d highly recommend this place to anyone, when we’re back in Southampton we will definitely return.

June 2024A Turkish restaurant worth trying! The atmosphere and service are excellent. If you go for dinner, you can eat until late. The restaurant is conveniently located on a central street in the city, making it easily accessible. The grilled lamb and beef are delicious. I plan to try the roasted lamb leg for next time.

July 2024Visuals where terrific. Service impecable. The food was ok good portions came quickly but I felt like the food was lacking in flavor in my opinion. I can recommend the smoked menu as I feel there is more flavor in the meat from the smoking
