February 2025Splendid country hotel in lovely well kept grounds. Service is very good and the food is excellent. The ambience in the Oak Dining room is wonderful. The interior is looking a bit tired but to some extent this is part of the charm. At nearly £1,000 per night including dinner it wasn’t cheap but it was worth it.

February 2025We had a fantastic stay in January for our wedding anniversary. The room (suite) was beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing. Just what was needed. We spent the afternoon walking around the grounds and in the evening ate in the restaurant. The food and wine was delicious and we would certainly recommend a visit. We will definitely be back again before long.

March 2025We had a fantastic time at Tylney Hall Hotel. The grounds upon arrival are well looked after, and there's ample of parking. The staff are very attentive and cheerful, and nothing is a bother. The hotel room we stayed in was lovely and spacious with lovely tall ceilings, and lots of lovely smelling Molton Brown soaps, shampoos etc. The grounds were so nice to walk around, and we were very lucky with the weather being so nice. A lovely warm quiet Pool area (indoors as outdoors is still closed off season), with an abundance of towels and slippers. A little sauna in the changing room was nice to finish on. We had a superb dinner and breakfast. The chefs are genuinely amazing because the attention to detail was fantastic. We've had a great stay and would recommend to anyone to come here, whether it be an afternoon tea, Sunday lunch, spa treatment or a nice stay.

February 2025Stunning location, building, rooms and surroundings but occasionally let down by slow service and expensive food. While we enjoyed our stay at Tylney Hall, I don't think the cost currently outweighs the benefits and so probably and sadly won't return. The room rate was fine and the morning staff at breakfast were great but in the evening in the bar and lounge it's a completely different story. I don't mind paying over the odds if you can *feel* the benefit of where that money goes but the bar and lounge service sadly let it down. Both in waiting times for drinks (food was cold by the time a bottle of wine arrived) and then quality, (three attempts at making an old fashioned - none were great). Kudos to the hotel management for taking allergies seriously. That was pleasant to see on the menu. Receiving a bill for over £300 for dinner with two adults and one child knocked me off my chair. £29 for a slice of cauliflower?! Crazy. In short: Lovely place. Overpriced food. Inconsistent service. Go if you're made of money and don't mind bad cocktails. Otherwise skip.

March 2025My rating is purely based on the Afternoon Tea we had at the hotel. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, and we had a friendly waitress who offered more sandwiches, however the total cost came to £94.50 and for the food quality i wouldn't describe it as value for money. It was pleasant, don't get me wrong, but it was £30-£35pp kind of nice, not £50pp kind of nice. Althought the overall quality of the food was good, some of the sandwiches felt slightly stale (our booking was 3.30pm so perhaps had been sat out for a while?) and were not particularly interesting/exciting flavours (just cheese and pickle for example) plus the gluten free option offered less than the non gluten free option. But the tea was lovely and the scones were huge with lots of cream & jam provided. Some things were done well for sure but i still can't justify the almost £50 per person cost overall.
