Love the place! Stayed for many months and the staff are super awesome. Beds are comfortable and spacious. Rain showers are great to wake you up. Great TVs (with chromecast). Food is brilliant too. All-round chill vibe. If you need a hotel in the centre of Reading, this is the best choice!

This was a refreshing change from what I am used to. Loved the spacious room ,comfy bed, 48inch tv etc. What I didn't like was the fact after working during the night and arriving here tired I was made to wait as my so called booking had been cancelled though it was booked 4hours before I arrived! I found the staff a little bland apart from one gentlemen whom was very friendly. Customer service is very much part of the customers stay /experience and feel the staff here we're always apart from the gentlemen I mentioned ,rushing you off with quick answers.

The hotel lobby is well presented and welcoming. The bed in my room was very low to the ground, I'm unsure if they're all as such or maybe I had a room for less able person/s. I do enjoy a good shower, there was lots of room and the controls easy to use and it was easy to get the desired temperature, (other hotels lack pressure and the temperature fluctuates whilst showering). The lobby consists of an American pool table, a fussball table and game console for guests to use. I would think again about using the in-house restaurant, the time from ordering to the delivery of meals is just to long, I watched some guests wait up to 30 minutes for their started of soup. I would stay again and hope for a bed that's at a more comfortable height.

We were looking forward to staying at the pentahotel for the night; the reception and bar are fabulous, the staff made us feel extremely welcome and the accessible room seemed lovely; but sadly the accessible wetroom bathroom didn't measure up to the promises - it flooded!! Twice we used the shower and twice it didn't drain and the entire bathroom stayed wet for an hour. Twice we told reception and twice they said they knew there were drain issues. Twice we had to use towels to move the water and dry the floor so we could use the toilet without getting wet feet. Even when we checked out they didn't seem that bothered and although they said someone would look at it I got the distinct impression that wouldn't happen. Shame because it's a great place but I didn't want a paddle in a lake.

Stayed here for a long weekend. The rooms are large and quite clean, though some of the room organisation is quite weird. While the room would have made for a very pleasant stay, the staff friendliness and the noise level in the room are below standard. If you are a party animal, this will be a great place. However as the bar in the lobby seems to be quite busy, music is played until at least 2 am on weekends, and you live with the bass in the rooms. Also asking the staff resulted onky in a slightest reduction of noise. I find this quite unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. Asking the staff the next day at check out only resulted in an information that the manager will be informed. At least a sorry would have helped here. Friends staying at other hotels in the surrounding area didn't seem to have such problems...
