    Guest Accomodation. As a Wedding Venue, the whole package deserves 4.5 stars. But there are important other behind the scenes matters that steal the stars, and I’m referring to the Guest Accomodation & next day Breakfast, which is expensive and not 5 star. Here are the reasons it fails to deliver …. Most attractive venue. Reception staff near perfect. The venue manager Chris was incredibly cooperative when we asked to move from 16 to 10, “Thank you”. We asked to move as Rooms 16&17 are over the kitchen area and very noisy. The wedding reception dinner (breakfast) was cooked, presented and served beautifully, another “thank you to the chef and team”. However, our bedroom accommodation in room 10 is so cold with such dangerously hot water it was awfully worrying and I would not recommend this to friends now, whatever adjustments we tried to make to the shower did not regulate the extreme hot water. Other friends and relatives said their first floor Accomodation shower water was also, far far too hot and on the next floor up, they did not have hot water, only very cold. Most had to wash instead of shower or wait till they left and went home. The heating in our room was not easy to get right either, it was a cold room, without sufficient heating. It was the main conversation among gusts at breakfast, but I doubt many mentioned it to staff in front of the bridal party. Then sadly the guest breakfast table is poor, first we were met by one particulary brusk waiting staff, (not even a word of “good morning”), before even being seated she asked in the entrance corridor whether you “would like a bacon roll”, I said “I would decide later after I took a seat thank you” as I wanted to also decide on what I was going to eat from the buffet table. No granola was offered, although it was on the menu, after asking for some, 1/4 or a canister of stale granola appeared. unfortunately there was a total lack of any decent bread, just a plain white loaf was on offer. Then when I requested bacon, it was offered in a white cut roll, I asked for “bacon only please”, but it was still brought to me with the white roll around it. Please train the breakfast team to be polite and at least engage with a smile. You really need to accommodate those who expectations are higher after such a glorious event the day before. . SO NOT GREAT, BREAKFAST IS A LET DOWN. 2 stars. Our Guest room deserves only 3 stars. BUT THE WEDDING WAS SPLENDIDLY GRAND 10/10
